Don’t think Lemina has temperament to be captain, Dawson seems quiet, it is a dilemma

I would have thought Dawson and Kilman would be the main contenders to be captain next season

Looks like Wolves are willing to agree permanent sales of Sanderson, Sarkic and Hoever this summer with championship teams interested in all three. Stoke are linked with all three but would be unlikely to sign more than one or two. Can’t see the fees being much more than £1m each

Sporting Lisbon have had meetings with Coventry this weekend to discuss a €20m bid plus add ons for Gyokeres. Coventry are holding fire at the moment in the hope that a Premier League club will come in with a higher bid, with Wolves, Everton and West Ham interested. The player has evidently indicated that a move to Wolves would be his first choice

We had 15 players out on loan last season, 9 of whom were over 21. This season, if I've read the rules correctly, we can only loan out 7 over 21. So it would make sense to try and get money for the likes of Sanderson, Hoever and Sarkic, who I doubt will don a first team Wolves shirt.

Seville are evidently in the process of making an approach for Fabio on a permanent deal. Ironically he is wanted to replace Rafa Mir who has been made available for transfer. Rumours are for a bid in the region of £25m

Surprised we let Luke Matheson go for free, he was a bright prospect and already played a good amount of games at a young age for Rochdale(?). Lost his way it seems.

Would hop for more than a million for Hoever as well. maybe 2-3 million.

Boubacar Traore captained Mali yesterday in their AFCON U23s game against Gabon which they won 3-1. Brought down for the penalty that opened the scoring he then produced a brilliant assist for their second goal. Picked up the ball at halfway, beat one Gabon player, played a 1-2 that took out 2 defenders, beat another defender then played in the centre forward. With him, Gomes, Lemina and Nunes we look well placed in midfield to move on from the Neves/Moutinho era

Robbie Keane has landed his first job in football management, taking over at Maccabi Tel Aviv

Good to see Bouba fit again and looking sharp, the midfield options we have now I think are quite exciting, its going to be different for sure and if we get performances like those we had against Chelsea and Brentford regularly then all bodes well for the future.

"Remember the Nunes goal?"

Yes and don't you forget it wummy Jim

Talking of whom, saw on the PL twitter yesterday that Nunes had our fastest recorded run last season, 36.32 km/h, would like to know when and where that was. Kyle Walker was fastest apparently at 37.31 km/h, when I questioned the veracity of these figures in relation to Adama Traore, some one suggested that he hadn't stayed on his feet long enough for the speed gun to catch him.

Just noticed that Neves finished the season as our top scorer?

That would make Kyle Walker the fastest player ever by quite some distance.

Wummy Jim.

I think we all knew that Neves was our our top scorer, but I wonder if "wummy Jim" knew that Podence was too.

Do try and keep up "Jim"

Seems that the transfer of Nathan Collins to Brentford is close to being agreed. Hadn’t realised that when Wolves signed Collins from Burnley for £20.5m it was the highest fee ever paid for an Irish player. Looks like he is about to break his own record

posted on 26/6/23

would assume we have somebody lined up to take his spot.

I. don’t see the point of the Collins sale at all , young , talented, home grown and plays as part of the spine of the team, some cover for that position /s but not huge

posted on 27/6/23

£25m points to the reason for the sale.

I think we need to sell to buy this summer. I just hope we don’t overdo it.

posted on 27/6/23

Not basing this on much but just get the feeling Julen likes a few wiser heads about the place. I am expecting a few seasoned pros to come in.

Presuming Collins goes we are looking thin on the ground with defenders.

With Lembikisa lined up for a loan, Semedo is the only recognised right back.

We have Dawson and Kilman for centre back presuming Wolves don’t cash in on Max. Toti could provide cover there and we could call on Mosquera once his loan with Cincinnati ends but that will likely not be until the autumn. Do we retain Coady as cover even though he has never convinced in a back 4.

At left back we have Bueno and Toti. Ait Nouri will be sold if an offer comes in. He was in talks with Marseille but they chose someone else. We could hold on to Giles but half the championship seem to want him

All very well raising money from sales but do we have players lined up to fill the gaps
