Still have a feeling Wolves may have difficulty offloading Jimenez this summer. There’s no way he will get a contract offer from anywhere else that will go close to matching what he’s on at Wolves. I can see him wanting to see out the last year of his contract then becoming a free agent next year
England U21's have reached the knock out stages in the 2023 Euros and face Portugal in a few days. Both Neto and Fabio have been starting in recent games.
Wolves in negotiations with Leicester to complete the transfer of Coady. Everton had an option to buy him for £4.5m but turned down the opportunity. Wolves are now hoping to receive around £7m
Coady evidently booked in for a medical at Leicester on Thursday. Final fee being quoted is £7.5m with a £1m add on if Leicester get promoted next season
That is a great fee. Good luck Conor
Pretty sure that Everton’s option to buy was due to the substantial loan fee paid. All things point to that anyway.

Yeah absolutely zero doubt a loan fee was involved in that one.
Forgot we still have Jonny on the books.

Jonny is under contract with Wolves until 2025. Like Jimenez he will be unlikely to get as good a deal anywhere else after his injuries. Suspect we’ll see him get a loan deal to a Spanish team
Why is it that other clubs sign players and then release the details.
We seem to have so much speculation and rumour and nothing happens for ages. Time is ticking again and we are shedding players all the time.
Come on Wolves, get your act together.
Don't get yer knickers in a twist Boston, we've only sold one so far, everything else is speculation and rumour. 9 weeks to go yet mate.

There is a lot riding on the performances of the players we have bought in over the last 12 months in my opinion.
They need to show us what they've got.
Wolves have pulled out of their pre season tour of South Korea after the promoter of the tournament failed to comply with some of the financial agreement. Roma have also pulled out of the tournament
Doesn’t leave much time for Wolves to arrange alternative pre season games
Wow. That's two years running that's happened now. Far from ideal, but on a positive note allows Hwang to be made available for transfer
Must admit the future of Hwang was my first thought also
Wolves are evidently in the process of arranging an alternative trip to Europe somewhere

I think that comment applies to Nunes & Sarabia, not so sure about the others:
Collins - on his way it seems
Guedes - never want to see him in Wolves shirt again Sasa - going to take a while to get up to speed after injury, not expecting much from him from the off
Dawson - has already shown enough for me
Lemina - ditto
Gomes - seen glimpses of what is to come and has impressed thus far
Bentley - back up keeper, not particularly impressed but debatable whether he can improve much
I think Gomes is a star in the making.
We need to see more next season from Cunha, Sarabia and Nunes and I think we will
Mosquera has extended his loan with Cincinnati through to the end of the MLS season in October
Wolves are evidently about to sign a former Palace keeper Tom King on a free transfer. He will presumably be our third choice keeper
no sign of an oven ready proven top level goalscoring CF then

Not many of them around to be fair. Every club is looking for one. You either have to spend £60 million + or take a punt on someone.
Villa set to sign Pau Torres from Villareal who is a top quality central defender. This to add to their free transfer signing of Tielemans from Leicester
We are in danger of falling well behind them unless we pull some rabbits out of the hat this summer
We're already well behind them. They have been a more ambitious club than us for a couple of seasons. It's really starting to show now.
Good signing that for Villa, Emery will obviously know him well but to tempt a local lad away from the club he's been with man & boy whilst in his prime is pretty good work, hats off.
Thing is this is not a Wolves kind of signing, I think we have to accept that the business model is quite stringent and limits us to signing players who have the potential to improve and make profit from or relatively cheap but experienced players that we squeeze the last drops out of.
I dont see us signing 26 year old internationals with a cupboard full of medals. And you have to ask which is the more sustainable approach for a club of our size, Villa probably have a bit more ceiling in terms of FFP due to slightly higher revenues, but FFP will kick in at some point and they will have a bunch of players who's value is depreciating whilst we will have (if we get it right), players coming in to their prime with high re-sale value, and so the cycle continues.
I dont think we lack ambition as a club, frustrating as it feels sometimes, I just think the approach we're taking is aimed at being sustainable, trying to increase overall squad quality and value incrementally rather than splurging on individuals for immediate impact.
I was going to say short term immediate impact, but Torres if he adapts could well be a fixture in Villa's back line for many many years but my point is that our aim is to sign players who will be worth more at the end of their contracts, whilst others see the players value in terms of on field footballing contribution and not so much concerned with future revenues.
Our problem recently has been that they havent got the balance and the mix of the squad right with too much emphasis on potential and that will lead you on a path to relegation. Hopefully Lopetegui will guide the recruitment in a much more squad focused way this summer.
