Not been to Seville, Granada is very nice though. Didn't get to a Madrid game but did do the stadium tour which was much less crazy busy than the Nou Camp one.
Just read that Hayden Dando one of the former owners of Hednesford Town has stepped in and taken over the club to keep it operational until a new owner can be sought. Sounds like its going be run on a shoestring though which doesnt bode well for on the field success. Appealing for sponsors to come in and throw some cash at the club on social media doesnt sound like the best business strategy either.
I think with Hednesford it’s just a case of trying to keep the show on the road. If they close the doors they probably wouldn’t open them again
Drove to Seville for an overnight from a holiday in the algarve, not too far from there. Did a city tour on a horse drawn carriage which was pleasant and went down well with the girl I was with at the time.
Had numerous concerts in Madrid and Valencia. Didn't like Barcelona much though.
Guedes has said he doesn’t want to come back to Wolves. Benfica would like to keep him but would like a loan. Wolves would prefer to sell and evidently there is interest from clubs in Spain

Valencia it is then. Many thanks for all the advice guys. Particularly to wolfie 👍
Fabio Silva also a wanted man at the moment. Interest from several clubs on the continent including PSV and Ajax.
Wonder what fee he would fetch?
Can't imagine it being anywhere near 35 million right now. 20-25 million?
Would we take 20-25 million?
I imagine it's mostly looking to take him on loan.
I'd prefer him with us next season. I think if we sell him now, we'll kick ourselves in a few years time.
I’d like to see Fabio back and fighting for a place in the starting eleven. No point signing him if we aren’t going to allow him time to develop.
Costa and Mouthino definitely gone , Traore may stay, I would have kept Mouthino on coaching
Adama is now free to talk to other clubs but Wolves are still interested in offering him a new deal.
I’d have thought Moutinho and Costa could still do a job at some level. Both seem ideal for the MLS to me, if they would be interested in that direction
Maybe Moutinho will join up with Nuno in Saudi?
6 young players have also been released including Taylor Perry who looked like he might make a breakthrough at one stage, and Luke Matheson who joined us with a real fanfare from Rochdale after he had scored for them against Man Utd in the League Cup as a 16 year old
Surprised by Matheson leaving.
Fabio is now back with Wolves. Psv would have liked to have kept him but couldn’t afford to buy him and evidently they would rather buy someone at a lower cost than take out another loan. Rumours Ajax would like to take him but that’s not substantiated.
I’d like to see him get a pre season with Wolves before any decision is taken and maybe Lopetegui can help develop him into the player we hoped we’d signed
No point signing him if we aren’t going to allow him time to develop.
Just reading the "goodbye" to Joao Moutinho on the Wolves site. I have to say I think I agree that he has to be one of the best players ever to wear the gold and black. Thanks Joao.
First two years he was sensational and probably the best all round footballer to have played for us. It's crazy that he came and made Wolverhampton his home whilst still playing at the top of his game at that point.
It always surprised me how combative Moutinho was as a midfielder when he joined and how much he put himself about. I think he lost that a bit this year, which is probably due to him not getting round the pitch as easily.
My favourite thing about him was how he always managed to look surprised and like he hadn't done anything whenever a ref penalised him for a blatant foul.
He’s still played an important role even these last few months. Lopetegui was regularly bringing him on in the second half and he was great at retaining possession. The games we’ve won 1-0 at home under Lopetegui we often saw him come on when the opposition were pushing forward and he helped us to regain some control of the game
Think I’m right in saying he only ever scored one goal at Molineux.
Can’t have been a bigger bargain signing by any premier league team than us getting him for £5m
Rennes play a pre season friendly against Wolves at Molineux on Saturday August 5th, one week before the start of the Premier League season. Today Rennes won their last league match of the season to clinch 4th place in the French top flight which means they’ll be in the Europa League next season
It was remarkable that both Moutinho and Patricio came to us in 2018 fresh from the world cup, two players with such massive reputations coming to a newly promoted club was a huge risk but it worked.
I maybe expected more goals from a player of his quality and its a huge regret that we never got to see him score at Molineux in person. Probably fair to say too that he and Neves were a bit too similar in style of play which maybe held us back in some respects but to see them control games in the way they did against the best in the country and have outlets like Jota, Jimenez and Adama in their prime was an absolute pleasure.
Talking of Adama, the club have released a video of him showing him to be a lovely humble soul during the holy month of Ramadan, whether that's a prelude to a new contract announcement or a bit of publicity to entice someone to sign him up who knows?
Good photo doing the rounds online of Ruben Neves on holiday having a beer with Andrea Pirlo. Now that would be a midfield pairing made in heaven
Oldgold, when you say Neves with Moutinho held us back in some respects. We went to 7th in the Premier League, held us back from what exactly? Getting back to that level is what dreams are made of
It's a sad indictment of modern football that finishing 7th is what dreams are made of.
