I think his age(21 in July) is not the key factor at this stage really, experience trumps that. He is 138 games into his pro career.
Not sure what a loan would achieve at this stage. He already went out and had a decent degree of success at two teams.
If we sign one or two strikers and Sasa shows he is clearly ahead then it may be a different conversation but at this current time Fabio needs to stay with us.
I've got more faith in Fabio producing something of note than the Austrian Peter Crouch.
I think we need 4 strikers in the squad, given we have play our best football with Cunha and one other.
My expectations from Sasa are low. Anything he achieves this season will be a bonus for me. We have Fabio, Cunha and Sarabia who could all play in a three man forward line. Depends how we chose to set up. But in addition to those I would like to see us sign one new striker forcertain and ideally two
Yeah, signing at least one more CF is a must I think.
Have to think our formation will be flexible under Julen and opposition dependant.
Looks like Sasa is with us for the medium term at least, his partner has just purchased the coffee shop in Tettenhall
We’ve seen from Jimenez, Neto and Jonny how difficult it is to come back from long term injuries. Love to think Sasa and Chiquinho will quickly slip back into gear but I won’t be holding my breath
What I said was..."If he can get 5 or 6 goals before Xmas with us, whether he starts or not, then it should be clear that his future could well be with us." Not sure what it is you don't understand tbh., especially as our top scorers for the last two seasons have only managed 6 and none of them are 'strikers'.
Not sure we're ever going to have 4 strikers in our squad, either. That's a wee bit over the top, don't you think?
Nice to see sunny feeling better
Reading that Theo Corbeanu is taking a traditional route out of Wolves next season when he is expected to play for Grasshoppers in Switzerland
One player who might be coming back into the fold is Bruno Jordao. He wasn’t a regular last season on loan at Santa Clara in Portugal who were relegated. But he is e evidently keen to come back to Molineux for pre season this summer to have one last attempt to break into the first team squad

We had 4 this year. Sasa, Costa, Jimenez and Cunha. So we've already had 4 in our squad (5 if you count Silva out on loan), which makes saying you don't think it will ever happen a wee bit over the top, don't you think?

So if he hasn't matched the goal tally of pur top goalscorer by Christmas, we should get rid? Or should we stick with him for longer like Spurs did with Kane like you said in one of your following posts.
I asked why we should only give him until Christmas and not longer. You keep going round the houses contradicting yourself and winding yourself up rather than giving a straight answer.
If he gets 5 or 6 for us before Christmas, they should name name a stand after him.
Name name - wtf?
I do think there s bit of a dilemma with Fabio, what he probably needs for his development right now is a loan where he's going to be a first choice starter week in week out, get lots of minutes on the field and a bucket full of goals.
I very much doubt he'll get that at Wolves, as successful as his loans have been has he really proved that he can be the answer to our scoring issues and be the focal point of our attack in August? He would be very useful in our squad but I don't see Lopetegui trusting him enough to give him the game time he needs to bring his game on.
What's right for Fabio is another loan but one where he's going to get minutes, what's right for Wolves short term at least may be him playing as much as Jimenez did last season but contributing some goals off the bench.
We paid £35 mill for Fabio and he gets £4 mill a year in wages. Its time he started earning some of that, if he is not capable then we need to get rid of him.
Whoever authorised the deal for him needs to take a long look in the mirror and IF he is still at Molineux he should be sacked immediately.

I don't think his wage is £4 million per year. Its reported differently by different websites, but its reported as half of that by many. Games like football manager (which is actually pretty accurate for this sort of thing) have him on £35k per week.
I think the higher figure is generally sensationalist journalism from clickbait websites.
Not many strikers are the finished article at his age. I just think we've invested the money in him now and need to see the project through.
I just know if we release him he's going to be a world class star in the future!!

Maybe a bit tricky as I seem to recall it came over very much as Jeff Shi’s project and he was delighted with it
I do think it’s a tricky one with Fabio. If we keep him here he may not be a regular particularly if we sign a new striker. But until we do sign one I think he’s the best option we have to be centre forward. Just may be a danger that as with MGW he concludes that his face doesn’t fit at Wolves and he might want away. If he does go out on a loan then it needs to be a decent club and one where he plays regularly then come the end of the loan I think he might be attracted to a permanent move elsewhere. What we paid for him is completely irrelevant in deciding what’s best for his future. What’s important is will he become a top centre forward. I think he will and I just hope it’s with us
I think we tend to forget that Fabio was thrown in at the deep end for a few months after Raul's injury, during a Covid hit season, and yes he looked like the inexperienced 18 year old that he was, playing abroad for the first time and was eventually replaced by Willian Jose who looked even more in effectual. But he did contribute 4 goals in that period (the second highest by a teenager in PL history) and showed that he had the instincts of a goal scorer in terms of his positioning and finishing. He now looks sharper, fitter, stronger, he just needs to develop his decision making on the ball (he's not the only one in our squad for that) which will come hopefully with more minutes. If we didnt need him I'd say send him to a decent Championship club and let him get games. Maybe if we do sign a striker he could still do that. Perhaps we could do a swap with Gyokeres and send him to Coventry for a year, I actually think that could work quite well.
Cunha, Fabio, Sasa +1 looks quite an exciting prospect for next year.
Rashford was interviewed prior to the FA Cup final by Sky Sports. During the interview he spoke about his improvement and particularly this seasons goals tally.
He said Wayne Rooney had spoke to him as a kid and told him that he couldn't teach him the positional awareness needed to be a top striker, he said with experience you just know where to be.
I think Fabio needs time to develop, we overpaid for him but as DJ said, that's completely irrelevant now.
Fabio will be 21 this summer. By the age of 21 his league goal comparisons would be;
Kane had scored 3 for Spurs in the Premier League, 5 on loan in League 1, 10 on loan in the Championship. Total 18
Salah had scored 12 in Egypt and 5 in Switzerland. Total 17
Jimenez had scored 2 in Mexico
Shearer had scored 10 for Southampton in the top flight.
Fabio has scored 4 for Wolves in the Premier League, 1 in the Portuguese top flight, 7 in the Belgian top flight and 4 in the Dutch top flight. Total 16
Another player who reaches 21 this year is Nigel Lonwijk who Wolves bought in as one for the future from PSV. He played 22 games on loan at Fortuna Sittard on loan in the Dutch top flight in 21/22 then played 41 times for Plymouth last season, 28 in the league for a team that won League One. He’ll be heavily in demand next season if loaned again but he may well be ready to push for a place in the Wolves squad

You've named 4 players to emphasis your point obviously. But the reality is, you have to have 4 players that are ready to play as a striker.
Firstly, Sasa wasn't even in our named squad, Jimenez was a spent force, Costa, although getting fitter, scored one goal and Cunha, who never actually played as an out and out striker. Plus, Costa scored 1 goals 23 appearances, Jimenez didn't score in 15 and Cunha scored 2 in 17. A grand total of a goal every 1,020 minutes. That's 1 goal every 11 games. So yes, keep Fabio, as I'm sure he can do better than those stats.
As for salaries. There are about 6 or 7 websites giving total salaries for Wolves, ranging from 52m a year to 86m. Fabio it seems, signed a 5 year contract worth 20m.
