If City get away with the financial charges then Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal need to come out of the next collective TV agreement.

The playing field changes considerably then. They will cry fairness but what we are seeing now isn't fair is it? A regime not in it for profit is very difficult to knock off its perch.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Back to the ESL it is then.

The other 17 clubs wouldn't allow you to televise the games when they play you at home.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The other 17 clubs aren't happy we have a league champion that play by their own rules. We have more power than you think.

If City get away it this time then whatever remains of the league's integrity is totally gone.

Can’t agree OP.

City’s achievements are meaningless and lack credibility. Imagine a Liverpool treble! *shudder*

Spot on.

Is it true that DDG was shown a spreadsheet of City's accounts from 2009 just before the game and that was the reason United lost and the OP has become an honourary Scouser?

What would you lot say if City are cleared of all charges?

Fix, cover up, bribed people, the FA are corrupt.

The charges gave us false hope which is why we lost the cup and Arsenal didn't win the league.

The Glazers are at fault, they are always at fault.

We'll cross that bridge when we come to it

You overspend them last three seasons and you keep on complaining of their money. You haven't spent well, is that their fault? In fact your coach says you need to spend more to boost your squad. So you are about money! 🤣

I read before that Liverpool got a £450m loan of FSG, the company that owns them.

That's ok though because Liverpool generate their own income and debt is ignored by FFP.

The premier League were busy putting Flawless TV behind bars for 10 years because they wanted to watch some football that isn't shown at 3pm. They'll be onto the Arabs next, you just wait!

Absolutely NO WAY.

Whomsoever LFC play will receive my support, cheers, encouragement, thanks, advice for the full 90+ minutes.

Don't want them to even win a toilet brush between them.

Dont get me wrong, I don't want MCFC to match United's achievements - which they aren't going to do anyway, because United were, and always will be, THE FIRST to achieve that particular achievement. But if anyone was going to be the second there's a long list of teams I'd rather didn't achieve that feat than City. And LFC is top of that list.

City, to me, have always been a footballing irrelevance, a well-run, locally supported and friendly club, but they weren't a serious threat or competition to United, i.e. the greatest, most groundbreaking & interesting - and most important - team in the English league system.

I won't be cheering for either team on Saturday but I won't be that bothered if City win, not least because half my family are supporters/fans, but also because, in the greater picture, it matters not - AND they (the players) would no doubt deserve it - either way.

Absolute nonsense.

I walked down Wembley way yesterday with City fans and everyone was having a laugh with good friendly banter thrown in of course. I didn't see any trouble at all.

That wouldn't have happened with the scousers. There would have been a heavy Police divide for sure and plenty of aggro.

City winning is far from ideal but it's still miles better than Liverpool. Go and have a lie down in a dark room and think about what you said.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

This.

I have extended family that are City fans. I want to beat them but there is no malice there.

Liverpool on the other hand.....

Lol

I’m not saying I want them to. I’m merely saying through gritted teeth I’d have to respect their achievement.

There’s no respect for what City have done. If they hadn’t deliberately delayed the UEFA investigation they wouldn’t have even been in the CL this year to be aiming for a treble.

Now they’re doing the same thing with the FA. For a club whose whole rhetoric is we are innocent they seem to go to absurd lengths to avoid proving their innocence

You’re incorrect (again).

posted on 4/6/23

Most people seem to be pretty clueless on the subject.

posted on 4/6/23

So if you’re so innocent why do you go to such lengths to avoid facing your day in court?

I mean the fact the chairman of the panel is an arsenal fan is your main counterpoint. Not that the evidence is wrong or you did nothing wrong.

Your focus is on who the chair supports. Seem to not have that much faith in your innocence if you’re grasping at straws like that.

posted on 4/6/23

We didn’t, if we were wanting to go to lengths not to go to court with Uefa we’d have done the complete opposite of what we did wouldn’t we?!

On your second paragraph, that isn’t the main counterpoint at all. That you think it might be is another reason we’d be happier if the PL one went to court too though…

If the FA are so sure of our guilt, why did they sit on the 'evidence' for so long?

Why did they announce the charges a couple of weeks before we played Arsenal instead of before the season started or after it had finished?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well that’s easy.

Because it’s all a conspiracy and the FA are trying their hardest to stop Man City winning.

Worked when we were charged by UEFA, we dropped off a cliff and allowed Liverpool to win the league by a mile. We won 9 out of the next 10 games once CAS had cleared us but it was far too late.

Didn't quite pan out the same this season though.
