No it's European football not just CL.

Who do we want as manager in 6 months time when he’s sacked as well cos we signed a load of rubbish and kept Dier and Sanchez?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ryan Mason would reject Levy at that point
if he gets you playing his way, it will be the best you have seen.
100%.
He'll produce an entertaining brand of football......I can guarantee you that. What nobody can say is how successful he will be. If Kane goes that's a chunk of money he will spend wisely on 2/3 players. He can concentrate on the Premier League with no European fixtures so that will surely help. A 4 year deal means to me he talked the talk in his interview and Spurs/Levy believe in him.
Gutted we've lost him but we move on to find his successor
4 years, madness not to go, if it works out then he'll get picked up by another big team and if it doesn't he'll get a bumper pay off.

Set for life and probably his kids set for life too with the money he'll make from this. Almost impossible to say no to.

I know you’re joking but if either of those two are starting for an Ange team, we will be relegation candidates. No excuses now, we’ve not bought a cb since Poch was here.

What happens to Mason?
I think he should go and manage a lower league team👍🏻
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Or he can learn from Ange who has a different approach to Conte and Jose. Problem is how much does he want to learn and if he is serious about managing when does he make the step?
He is also head of the academy and we have some good youngesters coming through so he might want to stick around. He loves the club alot don't forget.

Hope so tbh. Spurs have always been hopeless at getting quality first-team experience for academy products. A link with Celtic would do both clubs the power of good

*satire before you all start!

Interesting quote from the club.
“Ange brings a positive mentality and a fast, attacking style of play."
Clearly a response to the dire football of the last few years. This was needed, but are we "playing to the crowd" in terms of providing entertainment, which this guy almost guarantees, when the rest of the quote is silent on actual success (despite this manager having had plenty across several smaller leagues).
"He has a strong track record of developing players and an understanding of the importance of the link from the academy - everything that is important to our Club."
This is important but ultimately Academy's never produce the steady flow of first teamers that some may envisage as being their purpose. Chelsea have quite a batch but that's the first time in decades. United 'won it with kids' but since then the talent dries up. These successes are the exception and to me an academy's function is as much or more about developing players and enhancing their value, to be sold on. There is no point being fixated with players and including them simply because they are from the academy, when actually you may be better served by selling them. To me Skipp is the case in point. Decent player? Yes. Would he get in the City / United / Arsenal / Liverpool / Villa / Brighton / Newcastle team? No. If he was foreign and brought cheaply from the French league and was called N'Skipp we'd all be demanding him sold.
The academy is important but we must not over emphasise it or the contribution it can make to our first team squad, unless it is really delivering top talent.
"We are excited to have Ange join us as we prepare for the season ahead."
We are all excited by the prospect of more positive and entertaining football, and that will do in the short term!
Overall if find it a slightly underwhelming statement that, without being explicit, identifies our priorities with any reference to success or returning us to a position of challenging notable by its absence.

Honestly he transitioned some players at Celtic who were absolute dogshiit into becoming first team regulars
Hes all about wingers and quick transitions , inverted full backs and players going at 100mph
trust me when i say , when he speaks you listen and agree
love his press interactions
gutted hes leaving , sincerely wish the great man well
