Hope you get a decent new manager

Agree on Knutsen. Probably my preference at the moment … well, it would be Potter actually, but doubt that’s realistic.

Sounds like BR isn’t keen on a return, and that’s fine by me … and I suspect the vast majority of our support.

Maresca? … interesting, but a gamble. Was linked with us last time around too. Has to be a decent coach to be working in and around Pep, but failed badly in a brief managerial stint in Italy. Who knows?

Please God not JK or Marsch!

Moyes I’m pretty meh on as well TBH. Has never been remotely interested in a ‘Tic return before, so would doubt his enthusiasm for the gig. Decent enough manager, but pretty old school, I think … and chalk and cheese compared to Ange’s approach to the game. Not sure he’d fancy the vast majority of our squad of midgets!

Brendan Rodgers - 7/4 nope
Enzo Maresca - 2/1 yes
Kjetil Knutsen - 6/1 yes
David Moyes - 7/1 Hmm.. doubt he'd come here
Graham Potter - 8/1 yes
John Kennedy - 10/1 no
Jesse Marsch - 12/1 nope

Brendan Rodgers - I think even he gets its a bad idea
Enzo Maresca - the biggest risk but interesting
Kjetil Knutsen - Not sure Scandinavians 'get' Glasgow
David Moyes - He rure gets its a bad idea
Graham Potter - Yes
John Kennedy - Less of a risk than Maresca but that's it
Jesse Marsch - Would be ripped mercilessly by everyone - may be a good coach but a cultural misfit

Like Ange, gets the most out of players and is good at spotting those that would fit his similarly attacking system. Another similarity is his slow rise to fame but at 54 you just know two successful years and he's offski.

Plays very similar style to Ange (better even going by that Euro tie)

Been at Bodo since 2018, two second place finishes and two titles wins (the only two Bodo have ever had) and also boabied Roma 6-1 over two group games.

I think Ajax will end up taking him but he seems a good fit for the squad we have IMO.

Also scudded a Mourinho led Roma something like 8-2 on aggregate over 2 legs.

We're a big club. We have to act like a big club and make an approach despite interest from Ajax.

Would be a great fit but I'm not optimistic.

Anybody ruled themselves out except The Snake

Gettin most out of players was something ronnie was credited with as well.

Least he has european experience i suppose, looking at their europa league run this year though, bit meh

I was ok about Ange leaving yesterday. It’s hit me today after seeing in writing. I’m absolutely gutted. What a great guy!
Good luck Ange, I hope you win plenty of trophies down there.

Said yesterday that Knutsen would be my no.1 choice but doubt we'd get him if Ajax are sniffing around.

Potter would be a close second for me.. but again I think we'll struggle to get him if there's any interest down south in him.

Maresca, Kennedy, Brown (no idea why he's being mentioned other than lazy journo talk) et al give me the fear.. we need someone with several years experience as a first team manager.

If he turns Spurs as quick as he did us he will be lined up as a potential successor to Pep.

Problem with Potter is him sitting on gardening leave with mega money coming in from Chelsea so he can have a real sabbatical and still be in with a shout of EPL jobs every time they come around.

Not if those 3 he wins are 15-0.

Your turn

posted on 6/6/23

depends on the order doesn't it.

wins his first 3 15-0, loses next 3 50-0.

150 goals shipped in 3 games?

he's out mate.
