Honestly, at the risk of sounding like an old fart, this is what's slowly putting me off football

Hes done nothing to warrant that price tag

I remember saying the same thing about Richarlison. Qas rubbish at Everton, and even as a neutral when I watched Everton play with him in the squad, he's frustrated the tiiits off me

He's more worthy of having in the squad than Richarlison. I mean he is probably good enough to be a 1st team player whereas Richarlison never really was. And he's importantly homegrown and we need more of those.

Happy if this comes off. Would be a great start to the window.

We should focus all our money on gk and defence. If we line up with dier and Sanchez again, without Kane, we’re in real trouble

I would honestly offer all of them for Maddison... I dont think their combined value comes to much more than 60mln.. Sadly knowing Levy he's probably looking for 50mln for Dier & 45mln for Sanchez

Maddison, in a very shiiiiit Leicester team managed 10 goals in 30 games from midfield.

He also contributed 9 assists

So that is a contribution to a goal 19 times in 30 appearnces.

He created 60 chances in that time.

In terms of chances per game, he is third behind Bruno F and KDB.

All that in a crap team

The season before it was 12 in 35 games. SO he's a 1 in 3 goal scorer and a 1 in 3 assist maker.

Few can match that level of stats so to call him "mediocre" is not supported by any stats whatsoever.

What i enjoy about him is the spaces he occupies. The holes he finds and when he gets the ball he is often on the half turn. Imagine linking with Kane & Son rather than Iheanacho & Vardy.

Imagine him being in our line up instead of Skipp or PEH.

Many people poo poo'd the proposed signing of Grealish when we were link with him way back when...the same folk now beating Levy with the failure to get that deal done.

Maddison is at the same level. The shining light in a average to crap team and with stats that back up a high valuation.

He will massively improve our team/squad.. He would add goals and assists. That creativity in the middle that we have lacked and craved since Eriksen (2019).

Leicester actually scored more goals than the rest of the bottom half, it was only their s**** defence that got them relegated, so it wasn't entirely a crap team. Just a team that was ridiculously crap at one side of the game.
