He should get a goodbye at one of our OT pre-season games. He's been a great player for us but it's well and truly time for him to move on.
It's time, but I'm sorry at the same time. He's been a good player for us and seems a top bloke.
...though the Tweets say 'Breaking: De Gea leaving' and when you click through to the article it says he's "set to leave":
"United sources have indicated De Gea's contractual situation is looking bleak, with the 31-year-old so far unwilling to accept a reduction on his current £375,000-a-week salary."
https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/de-gea-man-utd-transfer-30251710
Also a disturbing reliance on a mysterious Welsh-language Lanzarote-based source.
I may have click-baited this one with the title. Sorry.

It's only The Mirror so could be rubbish
We are in agreement here RR as we are with most things.
We wish him all the best for the future if true ...
Great service to the club over the years but it just feels right for him to go ( again , if true ).
Unfortunately it might also mean fecking Jordan Pickford could be coming

Interesting news to reflect on though
So who will it be?
Andre Onana
Jordan Pickford
Diogo Costa
David Raya
Bart Verbruggen
Or other

We've been linked to many keepers over the last few weeks. Pickford isn't my first or second choice, but he'd be an upgrade on DDG.

He really, really wouldn’t
You're full of sh-t Russian.
If the sale isn't going through any time soon, as it certainly looks, then that's another problem for TH.
Decent goalie will eat into his glazer budget. Bet he's fuming with the 5hitshow that's going on behind the scenes.
Atalanta saying they want mental money for the kid he fancies up top, KMJ could be off the BM and Chelsea problem gonna dig their heels in over Mount for 60+
TH got some patience that for sure. I'd be making sure those behind the scenes ship out some 5hitshow signings ASAP to raise funds
It does appear the wheels are in motion for a departure this summer.
Probably why Brentford are being difficult with Spurs over Raya.
United surely looking between him and Onana.

I mean, Pickford is the player I'd want least from those we've been linked with, but he doesn't look terrified with the ball at his feet and has a better range of passing; is better than DDG as a sweeper; is more aggressive at claiming crosses; and hasn't been worse than him as a shot-stopper this season according to Fbref stats (both in terms of % shots saved and 'goals conceded: expected goals conceded' differential). I only think he's an upgrade from the point of view that I think a mediocre keeper with a profile closer to what our team needs would be an upgrade. But a very underwhelming decision if we went for him, given the availability of better keepers.

Yeah he would. Pickford’s a really underrated keeper. He’s not in the top bracket with the likes of Allison, but he’s in that bracket below. Some would have you think he’s a poor keeper the way they go on about him.
Pickford would a Maguire-esque signing.
Looked good for England, looks like clown for United.
Ilan Meslier would be good value at £30m.

I really liked the look of Onana's distribution. Not sure what the rest of his game is like, as never really seen much of him.
