Hopefully they reject.

Arda Guler at €17.5m release clause is a similar level of player, higher potential, younger and would allow us to focus funds elsewhere.

Just wish United would be more savvy with transfers ffs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Güler's being linked to every other club in Europe. It isn't just a case of United being willing to table his clause. He seems to be so in demand that he can pretty much pick who he wants to play for.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not necessarily what I’m saying.

Point I’m trying to make is, for £55m pounds (which is an obscene amount of money), with some good market research and a bit of imagination, I’m sure there are cheaper, similar, hell maybe even better options out there, than Mason amount who has a year left on his contract.

Brighton will certainly not be spending that amount on a central midfielder, however they will effectively replace McAllister for less than the fee they got him for. Oh wait they already go Mo Dahoud on a free. Also I’d take Enciso before Mount at United, without doubt (they got him for £9m).

United simply do not, or for whatever reason, are reluctant to, actually try and unearth cheaper potentially high level players, and will instead overpay for proven average players. Hence why our budget this year is limited.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Part of the reason is that there aren’t so many British/otherwise homegrown players of his calibre around, and we’ve backed ourselves right into a corner on that front with our squad building.

No way we should be signing him. Anyone who’s name is one letter away from culer is to be avoided at all cost

Understood. Both of those I think are better examples.

Romano and Ornstein both tweet Chelsea have rejected the third offer.

Understand Chelsea have just rejected Manchester United third bid for Mason Mount. 🚨🔴 #MUFC

It hasn’t met Chelsea valuation — as Chelsea counter offer is £58+7m to get it done.

Chelsea have also offered to meet in person to resolve in everyone’s interests.

Chelsea can stick their valuation up their rear ends.

Still expect this deal to happen.

Hopefully we invite them to dinner and don’t turn up.

£65m for Mason Mount? Do one, absolutely no way in hell he is worth that, let alone with a year left and refusing to renew.

We should move on to alternate targets sharpish in my opinion and try sign him on a pre-contract in 6 months time.

Chelsea can do one.

Who do Chelsea think they are, the Glazers?

2020 was the worst.

Donny, Cavani, Telles, Pellistri and Amad - they had near enough a combined contribution of fack all.

Reckon we’ll get Onana, Mount and Kane this window

posted on 24/6/23

No chance of Kane imo.

Onana/Costa
Mount
Rabiot on a free possibly
Hoijland - right near the end of the window

Could do with a CB too but seems we’ve lost out on Kim to Bayern.

I doubt many of those were actually Ole signings.
