our business has been interesting, 3 names linked (one signed) all young and i'm not sure first team heavy.

curious to see if we get any biggies.

We can even discuss Dundee's 2nd team if the Arabs are still posting on this elite level forum

They don't seem to be about. Would you like to discuss actual Dundee instead of Dundee's 2nd team?

Go for it.

Charlie Adam still playing?

posted on 26/6/23

No.

We have a lot of promising youngsters who have just signed new contracts. They make up the majority of the future Scotland team along with a couple of prospects from Man City, Liverpool and Bayern.

I've put £50 on the dundee teams avoiding each other again season 24-25

posted on 26/6/23

Yeah that's what happens when your 2 city teams are so closely matched. Makes for an exciting rivalry. Not a one team city like Glasgow where Celtic just batter Rangers six times a season. Gets a bit boring. It is far more exciting never playing each other.

Haven't United won 5 trophies since Dundee last won something?

Supposedly we've bid 3m for a striker called Traore playing in Sweden.

All quiet on the Dessers front.

Cifuentes also went quiet but I think we've made comments suggesting that it won't be done quickly.

Sima from Brighton on loan despite Beale saying no loans, seem to remember him being good against us would hope with his comments it includes a reasonable buy out.

4 more signings seems to be the word which suggests

Dessers or Traore
Cifuentes
Sima
Panzo or Trusty or some other CB option.

Would like another 1 or two but maybe we will see that once we move a couple on.

i see beale has contradicted his earlier claim regarding his budget.

GK Butland / McCrorie / McLaughlin
LB Barasic / Yilmaz
CB New CB / Davies / King
CB Goldson / Souttar
RB Tavernier / Sterling / Devine
CM Jack / Lundstram
CM Raskin / Cifuentes / Kamara
AM Cantwell / Hagi / Dowell / Lowry
LW Lawrence / Sakala / Wright
RW Sima / Matondo
FW New CF / Lammers / Roofe / Colak

A lot of guys that can play multiple positions.

I'd imagine if there is interest in

McLaughlin, Davies, Devine, Kamara, Hagi (possibly but i wouldn't), Wright, Matondo, Colak we would let them move for reasonable offers.

Lowry, King and Devine possibly loans to teams in our league would be good.

Yes but also what's this?

posted on 26/6/23

saying he has to change a squad without huge finance, after previously claiming no restrictions on budget

posted on 26/6/23

We probably have about 10m to spend which seems about normal for us.

It's not huge finance but and not restricted in terms of our recent spends so it's more of him using a lot of words to say nothing of interest.

The key will be shipping some guys out

i'd concerned about us losing CCV, Hatate, and Kyogo, the rest can be replaced.

Jota would be a worry as well tbh

posted on 26/6/23

I had expected more interest in those players by now, maybe there has been but it's been made formal.

3/4 of them would make be good transfers to decent PL sides. I'm not convinced on Jota.

Celtic tend to be much quieter in media on the market work until things are pretty much sealed

enjoyable player to watch.

I would imagine that Rodgers will want to meet and discuss his plans with our current squad before he decides who goes/who stays, or if we get silly offers in that we just can't turn down. Still expect a number to leave especially among ones who have returned from loan. We are well placed in that most of the first team squad have long contracts and we aren't in a financial need to sell, if we do it should be for decent money.

i like our business done early but at the same time a manager needs to assess the squad in training.

tough one, think left back will become an issue again.

possible goal keeper.

Lots of rumours about Kyogo, CCV, Hatate and Jota.

I think Ange will go for Kyogo for around £20M.
Could see Hatate and Jota go for at least £10M each.
CCV is our most important player imho, we've got to hold onto him.

Brendan's a rumoured £35M to spend, but I'd like to see us moving on our deadwood first.

I don't fancy that Panzo lad, although Coventry lost the playoff final, he came on, looked shaky as hell and almost sold the jerseys in extra time, lad put the ball in the net and Panzo was only saved by a VAR handball

Nope

posted on 26/6/23

Kyogo worth more than Hatate?

He's 28, only 2 years on his deal as opposed to 25 with 3 years left in a position that Spurs actually need someone in.

Remains to be seen if he will come back for any of them but I'd think Hatate and CCV would be the two because their in the priority positions for Spurs.

CCV probably unpalatable to their fans though because they sold him as not good enough for them already.

Can't judge him on getting chucked on in the dying minutes in a huge match.

Not a great first impression for us but otherwise their fans seem to think he's a player and he won the World Cup at an age group with Foden etc.

Not who I would go for but can see why he might be chosen.

A figure of £16m seems to be getting bandied about for Kyogo. Thoughts? Think I’d be telling Prem clubs to GTF at that level, given the crazy figures being spent down there. Bit like when we got a comparative pittance for VVD, even with future add-ons. I know the model we’re working within, but think the figure should be starting with a 2.
