when did he say he has an unlimited budget?

Kinda scared who Beale could sign with his unlimited budget.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
when did he say he has an unlimited budget?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He actually said, and I quote;

"There's no restrictions on budget, there's money to be spent in the Summer, and it's a good amount for a Rangers manager, compared to what I've seen in recent years, all Vauxhalls have new tyres this week only"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
so when you quote "restrictions" and replace with a complete different word like unlimited with a different meaning.

why do you do that ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

unlimited
adjective
1.
not limited or restricted in terms of number, quantity, or extent.
"offshore reserves of gas and oil are not unlimited"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
so you think in this instance when Beale made that quote you assumed unlimited and unrestricted means the same thing ??

----------------------------------------------------------------------
They're synonyms.
What do you think synonym means?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you think in this instance its a synonym?

surely its relative to the subkect in matter.

so lets deal with the one you bring up....

you think in this instance when Beale said his budget is unrestricted its the same as saying its unlimited.

.... heads up its not ... its not even remotely similar.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Can you provide a detailed explanation of the circumstances in which a synonym is not a synonym according to your extensive knowledge of the English language

Thanks
----------------------------------------------------------------------
no not again , once is enough
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can you provide a detailed explanation as to why not explaining a fundamental rule of English language that you appear to have invented means you've explained it.

Thanks.

Think it's perfectly acceptable to say that no restrictions on budget, can mean that Beale is free to spend all the money that is available to him...as opposed to saying he has an unlimited pot of money to draw from

If he had said there was no restrictions on spending...that would suggest he can spend as much as he wants regardless of anything...but that's not what he said

He said there is no restrictions on budget....which means that there is nothing stopping him from spending money if the club has it available to spend on transfers.

For instance, in January there was money apparently ring fenced to be spent on bringing Sands and Tillman in if we chose to do so......that was money, budgeted to be spent on transfers, but restricted to only be spent on burning those guys in.

This summer, there is nothing like that, if the money is there, it can be spent on whoever, whenever....no restrictions

There's not restrictions, it's a good amount.

He contradicted himself in consecutive sentences, sounds like he used the wrong word and meant to say the budget was not constrained like previous seasons.

We all know what he meant if you read the whole quote.

It could also mean that he has been given a fixed transfer budget that will not change.

It's not dependant on how many players we sell before September, whether we make it to the Champions League groups etc...etc..

So he's maybe been given a pot of money to go and do as he pleases with, regardless of what happens regards player movements, future income....ie unrestricted

I explained what it was in regards to ....

you still think he said or meant he has an unlimited budget !!

ask youself this .... why are you the only one pursuing this ? whilst the rest cringe.

the restrictions he was talking about was in regards to FFP stopping us spending what we had available.

this year the FFP cap wont restrict us from spending our budget.

does none of this make any sense to you?

So he has an unlimited budget then. Because there's no limits/restrictions on it, i.e. unrestricted.

Thanks for cleaning that up.
