£180k a week from Chelsea, with a separate contract worth £70k a week which required 4 days a year (optional) promotional work in Saudi Arabia. This separate contract was contingent on him being a Chelsea player.

In this instance in fairness it seems they would have actually liked to keep him, and Pochettino would’ve wanted him for sure, just seems he’d already made his mind up.

He definitely makes us better. Eriksen really didn't look the same player after the injury last year.

70k extra a week for someone who is assumed to be a great homegrown talent free of transfers is doable for a club like Chelsea financially. FFP is not a real worry after selling so many players to Saudi Arabia.
We actually offered the same amount as you offered (200k), sadly the damage was done last season. James and Chillwell were both on over 200, Sterling over 300k. Mount was pushing for more, we refused to negotiate and only offered him more recently. His advisors (Dad) had had enough and refused to listen. We could keep him but he would of been free next season. His time at Chelsea is done. Sorry to see him go but I can understand where he's coming from. It's Bern a difficult couple of seasons at our place.

I can't understand why you keep saying 2 years VC. He didn't do well last season, but who did at Chelsea? The year before that he played well, was Chelsea's POTY and had a goal involvement every 130 minutes

He's not a world beater but still a very good one.
But then our fanbase creamed themselves over the Antony signing so I think that says everything about why Mount isn't overly popular with some folk. The English tag is sadly too much for some people. Stung by likes of Maguire and Sancho and even Rashford still getting unfair stick after turning his fortunes around this season.
I think Mount will surprise many people and before a bit of a crowd favourite. His energy levels put some of our players to shake too so that bodes well. We definitely need more legs in midfield.
