Scoring goals was not our problem last season, we scored loads. Defending became a huge issue after saliba got injured.

Your problems were all mental, as soon as you could see the finish line your players went all Spursy and City just rolled right over you.

I promise you, next season you won’t even be close with ten games to go

Rice is realistically a £40m player, he is nowhere near the level of a prime Mousa Dembele or Rodri

You know, you don't have to project your own team's weaknesses onto us.

Yes, maybe a bit more mental fortitude could have helped, but the issue was largely a squad depth one. We look to be rectifying that this summer, but we shall see how it ends up.

Why do you think we've facked up with rice? He's quality, and will only get better under arteta.

Agree about havertz though, think that was a stupid signing but I've decided myself into thinking he'll be good.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeh well worth £105 million for his two goals a season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
His main goal is to not score goals, but Richarlison is, how many did he score again last season?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hardly played. So cannot compare. When Richarlison gets say 30 Prem starts, then come back, and we will compare.

Didn't Arsenal bottle top four the season before as well. I suggest it is Arsenal that have a mental weakness, not Spurs.

Chelsea: £1.612bn
Manchester United: £1.316bn
Manchester City: £1.092bn
Tottenham: £890.24m
Arsenal: £876.16m
Liverpool: £863.04m
West Ham: £607.23m

Are you sure that figure is right Sandy? If it is, surely it makes sense to outline who that money was spent on and how much was accumulated in player sales. Furthermore, how does that spend compare to other clubs in the top six.

Also, if you actually break that down, there are 16 transfer windows between 2016 and 2023 (depending on when in the year the data was taken from) which if you round it to 1 billion spent, is actually only £62m spent per window, so I wouldn't mind betting that we're pretty close to the same figure ourselves.

They're spending a lot now, sure, but so have we really. Just really, really badly.

Oh I know nearly fell off my chair laughing when I saw that it was from Jan 2020 onwards - faaaacking hell, what a weird date to try and get away with. Roll it back another couple of years and things look a whole lot different.

But of course doing so would have invalidated what he had said previously
