Just taking a moment to appreciate AWB’s performance so far. Defensively sound as per but popping up in all sorts of offensive positions. Looks sharp having featured in the previous two games.

Don't get the Havertz signing at all. Rice and Timbur make a lot of sense.

Enjoyed that. Antony is still a bit of a conundrum. He does everything you could wish for in a defensive sense but is so frustrating going forward. Mainoo did really well

His only advantage is his defence. Not really why you sign a Wide Forward.

First half picks:

AWB - marauding in attack, solid in defence. Really looks to be growing as a player under ETH. Starting to make that position his own?

Mainoo - looks at home in a fast paced, physical game against one of the PL's best teams.

Mount - quietly effective and playing with an intelligence that shows why ETH and other managers clearly love him. Bit of an unsung role in that half.

Sancho - looking sharp in an unfamiliar role. Great goal and some nice moments here and there. Fair to say this season is probably his last chance to establish himself as a United player and he's having a decent preseason so far.

Sancho looks a bit quicker. Mainoo looks better than McFred but still early days.

Yeah I agree, certainly at that price. But his defensive ability is a very big advantage tbf

I've seen the argument alot last year that he gives us shape, which is true but we didn't pay thatch money for defensive work and shape, he needs to be more direct, sancho by default has been direct playing as a 9 today and has looked south better, they both struggle from slowing things down
