Absolutely. £3.3m accounting profit too. Hopefully we’re not stuck paying off his contract.
That'll be him out of the England team then.
I thought we’d knocked back £30m in the last couple of days?
Fantastic news

People saying on the other thread that we wanted £35m but settled on £30m with West Ham & Maguire sorting his wages out themselves. Happy with that if true.
Thought we could push for 35 but 30 will do. Cut our losses
It could be an interesting season for West Ham. Signing players like Maguire and Ward-Prowse, along with a Europa League campaign, they could well get relegated.
I think he’s actually a really good signing for West Ham. He needs out of Man Utd and that’s a very good fee. Good deal all round.

Funny enough it won't.

Think that was mct?, however glad Harry's gone, was a disaster signing whatever way u look at it, now we have manager who actually has the sack to get rid of waste
Great news, hopefully he can resurrect his career at West Ham. Not the worst defender but not good enough for United, maybe not being the most expensive defender in the world will be a weight off his slabhead too?
Lets bring in a young replacement who's willing to be an understudy to Varane but with the potential to take over from him in a year or 2.
You just know he will scorer a winner against us don't you
Very good signing for West Ham and good fee for Man Utd. Both sides win. Think he will do well at West Ham with the deep lying back 4 they play. Might get a few goals too given that they are signing Ward-Prowse
Hope he does well there.
Some of the treatment he received from some United fans was disgraceful.
Also people fail to realise that it is a very different market and economy than it was when we signed him back in 2019, pre-covid. £80m back in 2019 is actually only £20m in today's market and economy so we have technically made £10m in pure profit, and got 4 successful years of a world class international defender, during his prime.
Very good business from United.

Only thing disgracefull was his performances, the 1st few years he had alot of support waiting for him to come good but when u do your job poorly long enough that patience runs out as it should

Yeah no doubt he will fire in a last minute bullet header, before running over to our fans, cupping his ears, before stopping to wonder why our fans our cheering. That's a more realistic scenario.
Best contribution to Man United from David Moyes
United's VVD but without VVD's PR.

He was a scapegoat of the Ole era, couldn't handle the pressure that comes with an £80m price tag.
Decent player who tried to be a modern day CB but just doesn't have that in him. Always did his best, can't fault him for that.
Expect a statement from the club extolling the virtues of Jonny Evans now
The lord giveth with one hand……..
With West Ham on the brink of signing both Ward-Prowse and Alvarez in midfield, I wonder if getting both of those deals over the line will end their interest in McTominay?

In fairness he was quite good in his 1st 2 seasons under Ole. Not close to 80 mill worth but good at the same time.
It didn’t start to unravel for him until the 21/22 season.
