Man Utd v Wolves Match Thread

Think I read recently that Man Utd have won more premier league games on the first weekend of the season than any other club. I’m sure they’ll be strongly fancied to win this one with Wolves only having a few days with a new coaching team. We had been looking impressive in the last two friendlies and if we could take that level forward then we could give Utd a tough game. But there has to be a question mark over whether that will happen

I’ll go:
As
Semedo, Dawson, Kidman, RAN
Lemina, Hodge
Nines, Sarabia, Neto
Dunham

You’ll notice that Sa is facing the wrong way. Let’s hope he realises by Monday evening.

And also Nicole has replaced Max.

And finally, Nunes is playing a false 9.

Who is Dunham as well?

Shall we just discuss the player you got right?

Sorry, Cunha has been replaced at the last minute by our new £100m striker.

Be interested to know what Gary was told when he took the job about money available for players. Probably, if we sell 2 players and get £10m, then you have £5m to spend.

We were interested in signing the young striker Chermiti from Sporting Lisbon but that didn’t happen because we have FFP problems

He has now signed moved for £15m to Everton who are a club with FFP problems

Yeah the next few weeks will be interesting. A lot of talk we are still actively looking to sell players.

Wonder if O’Neil will get a say in any other players leaving. Can’t imagine he knows much about most of our players

Judging by the names linked I would only want Elvedi. At this point I think it is far more important we don't lose either of Ait-Nouri or Fabio.

Hearing that the remaining back room staff are happy to be going into the new season without the "toxicity" that was evident prior to JL's departure.

Make of that what you will.

certainly looks like Podence was delighted julen left. No doubt he isn't alone

Was really looking forward to this season but right now I couldn't really care less. Hopefully that changes over the coming weeks.

Just hoping to stay in the division is a pretty low bar to set. FFS

Assume we can bring in players on freebies, but the wages still contribute to FFP I think?

Hopefully O'Neil can get us playing some nice footy but I fear that is a pipe dream given the last few years in general.

I guess at this stage, being pleasantly surprised is all we can hope for.

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst and be happy with something in the middle.

Yep. We shouldn't be going down so not too concerned by relegation but it is still disappointing.
