We never looked like scoring other than from dead ball situations. They were much better than us - more cohesive and accurate and almost always first to second balls. Good job Wildsmith was on form or it could have been worse.
How can we look so ordinary after Burton? Midfield again lacking with only Smith really in it. Collo was at his worst winning nowt. NML inconsistent but our only threat til later on. Waggy really sharp scoring a great goal. Maybe he and Washington should start.
Cannot be the same starting line up for a fourth game surely
Agree on all of this bar Collins, absolutely zero ball to feet for him, that is so frustrating for a striker
All the bull before the season and we watch that. M-L is a winger, play him there. Three at the back is dire and God knows why the current manager didn't go to a four when he made the subs. Three left wingbacks is like a pub team. Nelson and Bradley are dire. Rosenior's team was miles better than this fiasco.
Oxford played much better than us. Not good.
Cant really chip in cos I didnt see it or even hear it properly, but why bring on a box to box midfielder and play him at LWB when we're struggling in midfield ?
Players are much fitter though

By the sounds of it they're fit for FA?
Game management by staff and players was not up to standard - no nous, no awareness, 3-5-2 is not working
Its looking like we've lost better players than we've bought in đ¤
It seems as though the Stoke game was a fluke. I said after the Blackpool game that we will be nothing more than mid table if we don’t strengthen in midfield and attack. No matter what happens this season just remember we are only a year on from being liquidated.
Spot on Ken re our recent parlous state but there are so many worrying signs. Bradley is one example. He looked so dominant v Stoke but has looked so unsure of himself since. Cash is half the player he was last season and it feels as though the team has no faith in three at the back.
I would like to think PW will revert to a back four but I've no doubt that would seem like an admission of defeat for him.
I hate to be so negative after four games but the signs are not at all good.
PS I did not rate Collo at all today. I agree that the service was not great but he lost everything in the air and his hold-up play was sadly lacking. But some midfield support would help. Was Bird trying to shackle Brannagan or was he shackled by Brannagan? Either way he looked way out of sorts.
And we may now be stuck with two serious injuries!
All the insults I have received for stating what was obvious if you took off your black and white glasses for a moment. It seems obvious that the players recruited were in not as good as the players who left. Well at least we aren’t as bad as Burton but this is the worst Derby side ever.
It was terrible tonight. It looked as though the players have no faith in what they are being asked to do. There was no attempt at all to play the ball through the midfield where we have technically good players in Bird and Hourihane. If the aim is simply to kick it long and compete for second balls then we don’t have the right players.
I don’t blame the formation as such, more the style of play, or lack of it. Yes, we might have bundled in a couple of goals from all of the corners we had but is that the sum total of Warne’s ambition? He has not been able to recruit the kind of players who might get results playing this way, and it’s becoming plain that trying to force those who are here into a style alien to their instincts simply will not work.
I’m very depressed after that and finding it very hard to see how Warne could turn it around. And for Spart’s benefit Collins, who played so well on Saturday, was awful tonight. He may not have had any decent service but all he tried to do all night was to jump into his marker rather than at the ball.
We were bad Spart but "worst Derby side ever"? I don't know how far back you go but I have seen far worse.
Not a fan of three at the back, but I think we're getting carried away, having got too many new players not playing together enough yet, we're playing teams that have been together for a long time just made the odd addition we need a bit more time I think, and a lot more patience,
Spart was quick to jump in I see, never praising when it's due, but always ready to criticize, that's the problem when you've got someone who think he's always right,

Spart if you are not careful you will take over from me as the most disliked poster on here!
For what it's worth I didn't think Warne was any good last season, he talks the talk but his walking needs attention.
And yes Chicago, I've seen worse Derby teams than this.
No proper footballers would want to play for Warne, his tactics are to hoof the ball in the air and hope. We don't even look very fit.
Having slept on it I’m no happier. We have no choice other than to hope it improves but we have now seen two teams at Pride Park who appear to have spent their time passing and moving on the training ground. I wonder what we do other than practice set pieces. Ordinarily you can see what a manager is trying to do, even if you might not agree with it, but I was struggling to figure it out last night. Other than getting it to Ward and telling him to cross it as soon as he possibly can I couldn’t see any pattern to the play at all.

We have never been as low as this in our history, hence my comment about the worst Derby side ever. We broke the record last season but now we are worse. I fear worse is to come if we lose Bird. Warne seems to value running and effort over quality and skill. I can't see any Stimac like transformations on the horizon.
Can we afford to let Warne go considering the length of his contract?
Its all very depressing.
I'm hoping to make a trip to PP on Saturday. I was looking forward to my first live game of the season, now, unfortunately, not so much!
I just want to watch some highlights. I refuse to watch when we lose, which is happening lots lately.
On a personal note, nz is going down the toilet so we moved to brisbane 4 weeks ago, much better here but it's bloody hot, mid winter and we are seeing up to 29 degrees so I fear for summer. I've sporadically been reading posts, hope you've all been doing well and I shall endeavor to be a bit more active e again going forward.
I was at the game last night and left totally dejected and
miserable. I stayed until the end, but hordes of supporters were streaming to the exit gates as soon as Oxford doubled their lead.
Oxford have been busy restructuring in the summer, bringing in a similar number of new players on loans or free transfers as we have. They looked quicker, hungrier, and slick when in possession - the total opposite to how we performed.
Im not one for pointing the finger at anyone, but we have not won at home since February and based on last night's performance it might be next February before we win another. Something has got to change quickly!
