trying Kulu as an '8' and Porro wide right in front 3 in games like the Brentford one wouldnt be the worst idea
would like Porro to adapt to the inverted RB role but his height and defending makes me not trust him

they're good

Not sure Porro is a good player for Spurs in a 433 & while I like Kulu he's become very one dimensional.. He has a wand of left peg, would love to see him and Sonny switch wings every now and again and get some early crosses for Richie to attack. I could almost see him playing a bit like KDB does from the right.
Got him at last year's price

I hear ya but just feels like square pegs/ round holes. I fully appreciate every club ,makes dud signings but Spurs are structuring deals in a such a way that gives them a degree of flexibility and then end up making the wrong football decision.
He cannot defend to save his life and is he really the answer if we are not getting enough from Kulu (Thats basically been the case for the past year)
I fear Porro not getting much game time, will probably go on loan back to Spain and we'll end up taking another hefty loss
Surprised Ange didn't play Porro in Kulu's position during pre season instead of Soloman. At least try him there.
He is right winger after all. Lets forget this notion he is a right back because is a liability.
IF we ever get rid of Dier, Sanchez and Belly, Porro will be our next problem.
Fack right off - sell the cant to someone else!

Kulu was an easy buy considering the fee, his age and the form he showed in his initial 6 months
Porro is a square peg in a round hole and shouldn’t have been bought if we were thinking long-term. He’s simply not a defender in a back 4
At the time tho fans would’ve killed Levy if he didn’t ‘back the manager’

don't let perfect be the enemy of good. there are concerns about how they both fit but it's early days and this squad was crying out for technical quality, porro and Deki are two of our best technicians.
we're gonna run into a lot more teams like Brentford who have 11 men behind the ball and porro's creativity will be a big add in those situations

Yep I agree with this
Porro at 40m is mental if we're judging him as a wingback, considering that the manager that wanted him was going a few months later
40m for a wingback that can't defend and doesn't offer ridiculous numbers going forward as well is poor business
I remember watching YouTube clips of him in the run up to signing him and I felt the same way I did about Vicario's highlights
They were designed to make him look good, yet I would say 95% of each clip ended in a poor ball or a loose pass
His crossing is decent enough, but he's a liability in our team when we're expecting to be caught out on a counter every once in a while as part of our style of play
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He did produce a good output in terms of goals and assists last season, which is why he could be answer for Kulu cover.

I have no sympathy for Levy, it was his decision to hire back to back managers who were terrible fits for Spurs..... Sadly he's always the root cause of the problem.

even for us, 3 goals and 3 assist in 13 starts from in a really poor side at the end of last season is impressive
If Ange wanted him signed there must be a reason for that. Better to have one that the manager wants than one who wasn't wanted i.e. Spence.
thought Porro was an obligation not an option

Granted... But playing in formation we no longer use... Not saying he's a bad player But If we were looking for a new RB today, we wouldn't have any interest in someone like him.
