If Cantwell didn't throw himself down quicker than Tom Daley he may get some respect but it is laughable the way he goes down but then when he fouls someone he screams in their face

And whilst £5m is a welcome boost to the coffers, I think it's fair to say that Beale has been once again heavily backed financially by the board, yet fans are thinking of even more signings.

Will the board trust him again with even more cash when the jury is out on practically every single one of this years purchases? At least until they see the signs of these guys actually having something other than they may gel and might get better anyway.

2 months should give a pretty good idea of where Dessers and Danillo are gonna be at I would think.

In so saying, there's a bit of me that's quite relaxed we are (or at least appearing to be) managing any potential purchases with a degree of calm measurement. And in the main they "appear" to be upgrades and int he positions we think need addressing.

The other bit is "get a fwcking shift on". We've likely got Hatate out for the Rangers game and maybe even CCV. Whilst I wouldn't be too angered were we to lose with the remainder of the squad we have, the CL is looming fast and you'd want new signings to get up to speed for those at the very least.

Then there's that tiny niggling bit that says we will do fwck all after this one that's getting his medical

Also I dont think Beale has actually spent that much tbh.

about what 13/14m on 10 players ? Im sure Celtic have actually spent about that amount this season too just that less has been made of that ... have celtic not spent about 12/13m this season and more than that last season?

I don't think anyone questioned Celtic's spending. For one no player who we have signed is expected to be a regular starter immediately has been questioned as to their ability to play at this level. The other being we sold Jota for around £25M plus we are guaranteed CL money.

Quite possibly, but surely the true measurement is nett spend no?

It's plain to see that our trading model has worked wonders for us and sometimes embarrassingly so to the extent we as fans are questioning why we aren't doing more.

Rangers have made it very clear they want to follow that same model but the reality is they are miles away from it.
