What? Fml

I think I was pretty clear in what I said.

And its true.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No it isn't and it's just a weird thing to say regardless.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes or is true.

And how is it weird? It's precisely the topic of the thread you are reading/ writing on.

I'm almost positive it isn't true, but happy for you to prove me wrong.

A lot of PL sides are now focusing on the physical aspect of the game.

For example, City used to be full of small, nimble players but they've implemented a system, at times, with 4 traditional CB's across the back 4, with Rodri, Haaland, KDB all very physical in their own way.

Newcastle have specifically targeted tall defenders to help with set pieces.

I think that's how the next 5-10 years are going to look. First of all find players physically gifted, you can learn tactics, improve technique, but everybody has a genetical limitation when it comes to pace, height, speed, strength.

I don't understand the need for racism, in whatever guise. why does it matter? A good player is a good player no matter his colour. I come from London and in the 70s and 80s saw a lot of sh¡t that was unnecessary. There are heroes and villains of all creeds. I saw Paul Canoville crucified by home and away supporters because of his colour and this ignorance just made me sick and still does. It's about time we look at players like people.

Then we shouldn't. Maybe people who come from less privelaged backgrouds have more desire than the rest of us, Maybe. We see it with South Americans and even some of the etnic white Europeans who have emerged through the years. Football is their escape, their opportunity. I, for one, have had a life where I have had to strugglevery little to achieve a fairly good life. Maybe if I had been born in a different country, a different colour, I would have not been so lucky, and maybe it would have given me the same motivation and desire to become more. We live in a multi-cultural country - a multi-cultural world whether we like it or not. I for one don't have a problem with it.

You know that's not what I said. In the end, we unfortunately live in a world which has shifted once again. !945-2015 was the American Capitalist dominance. We live in a "free" country and have reaped the benefits of American politics. But it has shifted towards China in terms of productivity and China and Russia in terms of force and Europe is suffering and people are looking for scapegoats. Whenever there is social-economic degredation, people look to point fingers at certain groups. We built our country on our military dominance, empire and slavery - but that time has passed. Now we are still a leading power (just) but playing by the rules as set out by the real superpowers. Our wealth, our institutions are under attack from outside and we are looking for people to blame. People will accuse me of being woke - but it is not that. My position is one of historical perception. It is our politicians who are to blame as they do not look after society but they look after economy and their socio-economic groups. The world is in a process of change and our modern western societies are under threat. And this has trickled down into football and our perceptions of our teams. The Premier League is one part of this which has survived well. It is a premium product and it is so partly because of the diversity and the acceptance of that. It's something to be celebrated, not feared or villianised.

I said we do, more so than ever.

You said 'then we shouldnt'

Not sure where you think iv misrepresented what you have said, but happy for you to explain.

My points stands. Black people are hugely represented in football, and rightly so.
