We don’t know if that’s true or not, though if it is ten hag is a bald twaaat that’s gone down in my estimation.
I have absolutely no issue with any Utd fan not wanting Greenwood back. It's entirely logical that lots feel that way.
All I will say though is if you're twerking for Qatar at the same time then you're not a serious person at all.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Difficult one for Ten Hag really. He can't come out and state he's against it just in case he returns anyway.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s crap Diafol, the fact he’s happy to have a woman beating cuuuunt in the side is a disgrace and he clearly doesn’t understand what this is going to do to the dressing room. I thought better of this guy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think you're being harsh on Ten Hag here.
All we know of him so far is that I don't think he likes distractions all that much. I really do think his hands are tied with this.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There's the caveat that we don't know for sure or in detail what ETH has said to the management. However, I think you're being a bit generous, Diafol. We aren't asking Ten Hag to come out and make a public stance. We're commenting on the suggestion that his internal input has been supportive of reintegrating Greenwood into the team.
As I say, we don't know for sure - but we do have a precedent, when he was publicly supportive of Overmars (then Ajax sporting director) when his colleague got caught sending unwanted dickpics to junior colleagues. I'm very sorry to say there's evidence to suggest his priorities are not the same as ours.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Now that is a shame. I like and respect ETH, but that's going to be severely impacted if he backs Greenwoods return. Bar the caveats made by RR regarding a public apology etc.

You think Greenwood is going to say anything? He's been made not guilty, why would he try to add anything to that? He's going to come back, say absolutely nothing, get abuse from fans week in week out and try and get back to scoring hoping that fans are fickle and will warm to him.
The modern game's f-cked and he's a great example of that.

Of course he's coming back, he's too expensive an asset to lose.
The club are just in a mess because they probably still don't know how to approach telling everyone and the owners who are useless pr-cks probably don't want to be involved so are making no decisions like with most things they do.
Gonna be hillarious seeing the abuse the kid gets from the fans, deservedly so.

Beyond the wider ramifications in terms of helping (or otherwise) address the UK’s chronic domestic violence problem - we shouldn’t forget for a moment whilst we’re in the context of this debate that more than one in four women in the UK suffers some form of domestic abuse in their lifetime - I’m more worried about what it’ll do to female support for the club and support for the women’s game, more widely.
I imagine there would be certain people who would see a decision like this as a green light to justifying certain behaviour.

Absolutely. I know the consequences of domestic abuse pretty close hand so well understand the concerns. That's why I'm not just going on what the CPS state. I sound like a broken record but I just can't get past the audio and video and the way he spoke.
I'm sure we've all said harsh things in arguments but there was something cold about the way he said that.

Remember it took the withdrawal of key witnesses as well as the new evidence that came to light for the case to collapse, so it’s not as if they solely prosecuted initially just on the audio.

True. So they may well have had a body of evidence of months/years that suddenly wasn't available to them. Or have I misread what you've stated?
Pretty much in terms of a body of evidence that suddenly wasn’t available. It also means there were witnesses that were willing to testify with enough evidence that they believed they could get a conviction and for some considerable time.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Where will you go if the unthinkable happens mate? Pack in the game? Look to the lower leagues?
-----------------------------------------
No Rosso, I'll not be supporting anybody else and I'll just continue watching other football and the youth teams as normal.
I might start going to more England games now though.
You?

Will probably focus my attention more on other activities, but will still get across to see Portimonense occasionally and realistically will also probably watch more Primeira Liga.

I’d admire his conviction on this.

Exactly Diafol. And I've never said anything like that to any woman, let alone the woman I love.
