Oh, I’ve filtered 99. I don’t see the point in any of his ramblings.
35 degrees, we can only dream of that. Up North in the UK its about 16 degrees cloudy/drizzle, with the prospect of a Friday evening fixture against the blunts on the radar.
Can’t say they are a team i enjoy playing against or watching, their manager never stops dripping, got the sort of face you’d like to punch, all in all not an appetising prospect.
We don’t seem to do to bad against them at ours in the league, but have to remember the play off semi, but for a miraculous late save by Brice with his foot, history could well have been changed.
Yes they’ve lost a couple of decent players, but have brought decent ones in, they are usually a bit shot shy, and don’t normally score too many goals.
Doubt Brennan will start for us, with a possible move on the horizon i doubt we dare risk playing him.
Hopefully we’ll play like the last 20 minutes from Saturday and not the first 70, which were pretty awful.
Hope Coops’ goes positive in attack from the start, and he doesn’t attempt to sit back, they are the sort of team, who if they get a goals can be difficult to break down.
With the right formation and mind set from the start i take Forest to win by 2 clear goals, sit back and be negative and a point is probably a point all we can look forward to, and with our first 4 away fixtures being pretty tough, we need some home points on the board.
Looking forward to getting back in the Trent End at the WFCG, and watching a well deserved victory.
COYRs.
Can't be under estimated how important this game is for us. I think we have to get a win and stablish the same home mindset we had last year. Hopefully the last 20 minutes at Arsenal will have shown Cooper that with the right Mindset away from home we can go for wins rather than playing for a draw.
I assume Awoniyi will start tonight and I feel he is going to be too much for them to handle. Likewise give Elanga his first start and let him run the defenders in to the ground.
Would love to see a nice 3:0 but its Forest and its never that simple for us.
I’m sure we’ll be much more on the front foot tonight. Niakhate played 45 minutes in midweek so if no reaction I hope he will start tonight. Whether he does or doesn’t I think we play 3-4-3 tonight. If Johnson is in talks with Chelsea as some reports suggest I can’t see him starting. Elanga steps up.
Turner
Boly Worrall. Niakhate (or McK)
Aurier Yates. Danilo. Aina
Elanga Awoniyi. MGW
Sheffield have weakened the team after gaining promo. They have decided to take the Sky money this year and parachute payment next year and hope to bounce straight back with the big war chest that provides.
We won’t get many easier (on paper) games than this. If we don’t win I can see some panic buying before the window closes which is never a good thing.
Don’t want to jinx things but I predict a comfy 3-0
reddave: you have got to be a matelot or an ex-matelot after stating "their manager never stops dripping". In the 40+ years since I left the mob, I have never heard that phrase used in civvy street.
Regards, an ex WAFU.
Redfor60yrs: If we play 3 at the back, then Neco for Serge. Serge is a right back, not a wingback. He is a good left back, but not in a three.
He's the opposite to Figuerido a few years ago, he was great in a three at the back but couldn't play in a standard back four. In a back four, he always had an error in him, but in a back three, I can't remember him making a mistake.

A few years back while I worked for the MoD I phoned up Yeovilton and asked if I'd got through to the WAFU's [several balls in the air simultaneously is my excuse] much playing the fool later the dry humour lapsed, hey ho.

Good first half. Should be more than 1 up
Ridiculous defending. Everyone inside the 6 yard box.
Good stuff in the end
3 points in the bank
Good for Woods. I think he needed that for his rep.

Chris Wood comes good! those two points could be crucial?
Elanga and Yates changed the direction of the game
Great for Wood and Awoniyi to get on the scoresheet for different reasons
Plenty of work still to do, on and off the pitch.
At times we over played when simple passes would have been better. Against better teams we will need to be a lot more accurate. That said hopefully that will give us a good confidence boost going in to a few difficult away games.
