He had an OK game Don. Was poor defensively first half. Acres of space down his side. But improved 2nd half.
There’s a palpable feel good factor around the club and that’s remarkable considering it’s a new manager, new players, new system and our best player and legend has just left
You have to give Ange credit for that. I can’t remember ever a manager coming in and the fans singing his name the whole game in his second match before
However - I’m really trying to stop myself from getting carried away. I’ve seen too many false dawns in my 40 years a fan
the DL haters hopefully will be silenced as the season progresses

Why would they be silenced just because the team's playing well?
One second-rate trophy in 22 years with one of the biggest budgets in English football isn't really something that a few months of acceptable footy can easily wash away. Spurs must've participated in about 100 tournaments in that time, with very little to show for it whilst the owners have lined their pockets winning the one title that really matters to them: "most profitable club".
By the way, happy you're doing well after being force-fed the direly negative football you've been served up in recent seasons.
Have to take the next 9 points. Anything less will be a disappointment

Exactly nothing to do with DL.
Is he the manager?
Does he set out the tactics?
No. If anything he can do a lot more by buying another striker and defender asap and accept lesser fees for the deadwood.
Then you would get more performances like yesterday.

Don’t be at all surprised if we lose some unexpected games
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I understand that but the next 3 teams are relegation fodder
Agree with all your comments (Ex the DL point) and really enjoyed watching Spurs yesterday... Second half they were fantastic!
Bissouma is the best example I can think of to illustrate what a joke appointment Conte was. Right now I'd have this guy over any of Rice,Enzo, Caicaido or Lavia yet Conte refused to play him because "he lacked defensive discipline".... He was outstanding yesterday.
I'll hold my hands up re Vicario, great game, looked much calmer, made some great saves and defo helped us play out from the back.
Udogie... We all know he's a superstar in the making... the kid has everything !
I know you like to compare him to Hoddle but to me Sarr plays like Patrick Vierra...Endless energy, he eats up the ground, I don't know how many "long legged" tackles he made yesterday.
Massive credit to Ange... you can see in the way the team is playing that the players like him, Like his approach and have the belief that it works... Credit to Levy where its due... whether it was luck or good judgment.... we finally got the right manager!!
Only downside was the front 3 again. It's easy to blame Richie for another poor game BUT I'm not gonna do it. Do I think he's gonna be the answer.... NO but for me Son and Kulu are at fault. Now Kane has gone, both are basically playing as though they need to score the goals to replace Kane. There were so many chances to get a good ball into Richi but time and again, both cut in looking to score. This endless inverted wing play is a nightmare for a CF because it gives them no space and no chance to make a run. Its one of the reasons Kane played so deep. Spurs desperately need another attacking wide player that can play on the side of his strongest foot and another CF..... will we get one ?.... who knows but I would be tempted to start Son Centrally, Solomon on the right and Perisic on the left Vs Bournemouth.... I think that has better balance to it. The quality of delivery from wide area's was so much better when Perisic came on because he's not always looking to score.
Anyway, Delighted with everything, hopefully another couple of signings and more week-to-week improvement. Like you said, this team without the distraction of European football could improve very, very quickly !!

Levy also delivered a billion pound stadium that has to be paid for. Some of you are like kids in a sweetshop that have zero value of money and where it comes from.
Levy has to balance between paying for the stadium and funding for new players. And I think he is balancing just about right. Give him some credit.

If I were you I’d temper my expectations a tad
It’s a work in progress and we are very early in. We will lose games, especially away from home, as we get used to this system. Even Ange said the home fans got us through that especially in the first half
Don’t be at all surprised if we lose some unexpected games

This. Daniel Levy gets zero appreciation. It’s all Ange this working without one of the best strikers on the planet. Levy still hasn’t backed him fully. If anything, he’s made Ange’s job harder. Levy gets zero credit for the start and regardless of what we do, nobody is getting silenced. Ange 👏

Exactly nothing to do with DL.
Is he the manager?
Does he set out the tactics?
No. If anything he can do a lot more by buying another striker and defender asap and accept lesser fees for the deadwood.
Then you would get more performances like yesterday.
What a stupid comment as usual.
