Whilst we're all hoping

I think some more will leave, wouldn’t be surprised if Joffy does.

If Summerville goes, he’s made a terrible decision for his career. He’s got a chance to be first choice in a slightly weaker but still highly rated, competitive league - it’s a chance to be the star of a team, score lots of goals and then either go up with us or get a move as an established player. Really hope he has the right attitude

*weaker

No slightly about it, it’s a massive drop in quality overall, don’t know why I added that!

Why do we need to be "wary" of exits?

Working on Farke's premise that he doesn't want anybody who isn't committed to the club, we should be pleased that so many players have now left.

The manner in which they left - loan/relegation clauses - might leave a lot to be desired but at least the Adams transfer has brought in some money. I'm sure Gnonto will go at the right price before the window closes, cos he's finished at ER. Maybe they'll sell Sinisterra and/or Meslier too, so we may have some money to spend?

As it is, with a threadbare squad, we've come from behind to register at least a point, again. I'm as appalled as the next man as to what's been going on at ER but I am generally quite pleased with the way that Farke has been dealing with it all.

Agree that we need some additions but like you, I'm not holding my breath. Now reckon Marathe's full of bull and we'll just be treading water this season.

wary because we've seen little in terms of building the squad and there comes a point where it is simply too thin to compete in this division, which means relegation.

I think we have to be really careful here, we're already way off the pace in this division.

Agree, if we don't make several decent additions in the coming days we're going down.

I would say these players are still up for sale:

Meslier
Drameh
Hjelde
Gnonto
Sini
Summerville
Joffy
Firpo (sale/release)
Costa (sale/release)

You're probably right, Batty. The only ones I'd be sorry to see go are Joffy (who we like) and Summerville (who we need). If the rest went, however, we would need to bring in the equivalent amount of players - that's not going to happen so I don't believe most of them are going to go.

Latest rumours are that we're in for Jonjo Shelvey – probably all bunkum but I'd definitely go for that. Every team trying to get out of the Championship needs old heads as a good influence on the younger players. In the absence of Coops and Dallas, Shelvey could provide what Gary Mc and Vinnie J gave us. Calm heads and colossal cojones.

Shelvey is the kind of midfielder we've needed for years.

Big yes please from me.

i dont even care about summerville or sinisterra anymore. too much respect for Farke to care about these divas. only mes and joffy deserves any respect.

Yes Shelvey and Kamara look like good bets to come in along with Nat Philips, the greek cb, the young Rangers winger who was at one of our home games and Ryan Fraser so just leaves that position up front to be filled by your guess is as good as mine.

I’m not exited about any of those players, lose Gnonto, Summerville and Sinisterra…where are the goals going to come from?

Whats the hate on Summerville? As far as im aware hes not come out and said anything about leaving. Neither has Drameh. Why hate on a player like that

We should be aiming the hate at the board for not signing anyone.

3 of the 5 we have scored have come from defenders so far.

The trio combined scored 2 less goals than rodrigo last year, 13 - 11. 49ers just have to get off their asses and bring someone in.

I’d expect Gnonto, Sinisterra, Summerville and James to get 20-25 minimum, where else do we get goals? Joffy might get 5, Bamford maybe 7-10 and like you say the defenders will chip in a few…but lose those 3 players and we are struggling.

There’s a song here somewhere … bear with …

🎼 “ 49ers my friends, just bring the feckers in,
The answer is blowin’ in the wind”.

See, thought so.

The reality is we are not likely to be able to attract the type of player that is terribly exciting but collectively we must hope they all combine to make us a strong hard to beat championship outfit.

We just have to trust Farke's judgement if the ones rumoured do materialise or if different ones appear either way whoever DF has earmarked to give us a fighting chance of success this season, I'm not sure we can be that fussy and I will accept we get who we get.

Leicester are the Ferrari of this division.

Southampton aren’t far behind.

We just have to hope ( there’s that fcking word again)
That the club are able to catch up player-wise. And that
Farke can build a team. It’s a long season ahead.

Definitely, we always seem to struggle there & they've won 3 out of 3.

Then it's Wednesday at home. Poor result against them coupled with insufficient signings & things will turn nasty.

Scraping the barrel 3 games in, and 10 days till window ends, with 3/4 players futures up in the air.

How anyone can defend these shysters, utter disgrace
