Scraping the barrel 3 games in, and 10 days till window ends, with 3/4 players futures up in the air.

How anyone can defend these shysters, utter disgrace
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Haven't seen anyone defend them? The happy clappers on some of the Facebook pages give a close run but surely everyone is feeling pretty let down and underwhelmed so far.

I've tried to be positive with Paraag's podcast and communications, but its all fallen really flat.

The clock is ticking. Each day that goes by without vital additions is one less day on the training ground to integrate new players and increases chances of them not being involved at the weekend. If this stretches to next weekend and we find out in the next press conference that injured players are still not ready we go in with bare bones again and it is another hard luck story at Ipswich.

Can't afford to just keep throwing away points while we sort this out.

It's cutting it tight but not going to react until 2nd September when as Bill said "He knows who his team mates are'.

Don't think rich footy exec's are going to get my advocacy, or any from many on here, but I'm sure as hell going to defend the team that gave everything against WBA - couldn't ask for more from them.

Sadly as usual theres a reason things aren't moving as quickly as we would like and its not the 49ers fault, cant say too much except the clubs we have done business with aren't exactly on the bones of their backsides, its frustrating and typical Leeds United,

Honestly, cheers for that Don.

How frustrated must Farke be?

Would rather we signed O Brien than Shelvey to be honest. Think Shelvey is past it amd on too much wage wise.

Don,

Thanks for that. Would be great if 49ers came out with some kind of reassuring statement. The silence, crop communication and doing exactly the opposite of what they promised is getting very tiring

I think if we can get another player out for cash it might help to move things a bit quicker otherwise we are relying on other clubs good faith which some can’t afford

They haven't got a clue who we're going to be able to attract given the poor start we've made, they can't give us any assurances about signings imo. At this rate, we'll end up with players we didn't really want.

Who would join us over Leicester or Southampton right now? Those 2 are getting out, we probably aint.

We've only just sold a player for cash. We took too long moving someone on to fund our own signings, now we seem like we're clammering around looking for players last minute.

they've got parachute money.
they've got 30 mill saving on wages according to Kinnear.
they've got 23 m from Adams.

They are one of wealthiest bunch of investors out there.

How much do we need exactly?

Its not like we're looking at 100m players.

Not sure why we are not trusting the words of our great leader Angus Kinnear

He has stated only 1 more player leaving.
Adams has left.

Expecting no more players to leave before the deadline
Not sure how they are going to integrate the players back into the fold but fans are fickle.

Looking forwards to 3-5 more players coming in and we should be really competitive

We must have the slowest transfer deal closers in the whole professional football pyramid if not the whole professional football world... it's excruciatingly frustrating waiting for some positive news.

The more I hear the rumours of Kamara and all the others the less likely I feel they will become a reality.
I know Don does his best to give us some sort of reassurance but I fear without some new additions this week Ipswich will beat us on Saturday.

Being heavily linked tonight to Brighton midfielder Facundo Buonanotte. 18 years old. Signed for 10m. Attacking midfielder

Maybe making contracts in his sleep doesn't work as well in England.

Shelvey's only 31. That experience could mean the difference between survival & League One.

Shambles

An old mate of mine bumped into Adam Forshaw the other day. He confirmed the club is indeed a shambles.

The happy clappers need to wake up & quick.

This isn't good enough. There is an undeniable stench of things being far from right at the club

I had to force myself to bother going to the first two home games. Just feels like a club going further down by the week.

My piece on needing money in was my take on the situation but probably its just hard to do signings on buy now pay later which is where we are at, I just hope someone isnt still trying to take money out of the club,

There does seem to be a bit of a GFH mark 2.0 feel about the current set up. As many have said it is all about actions rather than words.

Don't know if we are trying to deal with top six clubs but they hold all the aces in negotiations and we'd be better served by looking at players from clubs lower down the food chain.

I'm starting to now think yes this lot seem to be yet another load of bull shiiiteers... It really does begger belief how we consistently attract the worst kind of wolf in sheep's clothing..... Bielsa was a complete fluke as was the signing of Raphina.

Anyway I will lower my expectations and see what happens come September 2nd but I think like a lot of us who through Bielsa fell in love again with football and assumed wrongly it seemed the club was on a sound financial footing to push on after Bielsa, it was all built on sand and the club is now back to those horrible Bates, GFH and Cellino days.

Unless the 49ers can prove to us in the next 10 days or so are fears are unfounded I'm probably going to take a reduced interest in all things Leeds United as I'm not prepared to be made a mug of for the next five, six or howevever many years it takes us to get some half decent ownership that actually gives a monkey's about the fans and not fleecing us left right and centre.

Why buy now pay later?

So many couldn't wait for 49ers to take over because of the money they thought they would be bringing in.

Kinnear says 30m off wage bill to be invested in squad, Adams is 23 mill, Parachute payments which are designed to soften blow but actually is free money now so many gone out on loan......tghere really is no reason at all why we cant be spending.

I think you'd said wait till Prem start sorting squads then transfer movements happen....well not for us.

Really sorry but this is stinking like GFH all over again.

I think owners have looked at Wrexham and thought, get some of us over there and buy fans a pint in the pub and they'll all support us blindly.

We were told the policy was going to be aggressive.

No one put those words in Paraag's mouth, he volunteered that, said Championship just a speed bump......they've turned it into a bl oo dy 5mph zone!

Farke said something like score 75 goals and you're promoted.

We're nowhere near going to be able to do that.

Farke said we need strengthening in ALL positions.

It's not happening.

Farke said you need to be willing to invest if you want promotion.

I'm not seeing it.

Owners always take money out of the club....always, with the exception of money laundering Abramovich.

The phrase you hear sometimes "If it looks like a duck I am calling it a duck" springs to mind where the 49s are concerned. If it looks like dodgy ownership(and we have seen our fair share)that is probably what it is.
