Heres a question........ I haven;t been following this Mason Greenwood situation at United. I was reading last week that United were planning on reintroducing him back into their squad and then had a change a change of heart because of public outrage. Was he ever found guilty of anything/ how did it all play out in the end ?
Are United Gonna sell him/ loan him.... Im sure its a sensitive situation but the kid is super talented if he ever gets another chance.
Apols if this is obvious, been a difficult story to follow from over here.. I fear I'm missing something?

Yeah.. I was going to but didn't want to sound stupid incase I was missing something......all I read was that all charges were dropped by the CPS. I was trying to figure out why United are now likely to do some kind of U-turn on him
Never found guilty or innocent as the case got thrown out of court on grounds of insufficient evidence, or, more crucially, a key witness backed out. That's not exactly what you'd call redemption is it?! He clearly did all those horrible things as we've seen and heard the video/audio. The question is whether you think someone, anyone, has the right to rebuild their lives or they're forever in the shadows. Personally I believe in rehabilitation and second chances otherwise what's the point? If he came back with remorse and became a figurehead for anti-domestic violence then that sends a powerful message. I'm not sure I agree with Rachel Riley, who said she'll stop supporting United if he comes back. He's a kid. He's fecked up majorly but I'm really not comfortable with the mob on Twitter deciding his fate, which is what appears to have happened. It all feels a bit 'thumbs down' in the colosseum to me. Punished, yes. Cancelled, no.

Ahhhh.. Thanks Mate, Explains a lot. A lot of that wasn't reported here.. Much appreciated
Wonder how Utd's sponsors will feel about it? The abuse he will get from the stands will be, lets just say very vocal.
The main problem for Greenwood is there is video/audio evidence of him being an absolute caaant to his GF.
With Partey, Mendy and Bissouma even, it is/was all hearsay, without any evidence in the public domain.
If he played for Spurs I would not want him back one bit.

Great result on Saturday and we are a work in progress but we can't forget that a more clinical side would have been out of sight by half time. We're very easy to slice open at the moment so plenty of work to do
I think a finish in the Europa League places is realistic for where we are during a transitional year. City, Arsenal, and Liverpool will undoubtedly take those top three places for me but to be honest, United, Newcastle, Spurs, Brighton and even Villa could be a toss up for any of the other places. We're the only ones not in Europe which might end up helping us. Who knows?! The good thing is the pressure is off without Kane. We can build a the right tempo without worrying whether we've pleased his lordship enough every year. Whoever said Kane had got too big for the club was bang on. It's unhealthy having such an imbalance.
We really, really need to move in the window though. Richy, as much as some fans won't have it, is most definitely not the answer. He's just not good enough. I've thought that ever since his Watford days. It's not about judging him in his Spurs tenure. Centre half, striker, possibly another attacker and then maybe Jan or next year, we revisit the troublesome full back roles because I think Porro is too attacking and Emerson isn't attacking enough. We need the porridge that's 'just right'.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why will Arsenal and Liverpool definitely take two of the top three places?
Nothing suggests Liverpool have significantly improved from last seas

BREAKING:
Man Utd have mutually agreed for striker Mason Greenwood to leave Old Trafford.
Mason Greenwood said in a statement:
“I did not do the things I was accused of, and in February I was cleared of all charges.
“However, I fully accept I made mistakes in my relationship.”
Arsenal have another easy start like last season. Yet again they get to play Palace before they can get going, so they will fool a lot of people into thinking they are title contenders this year.
A positive I’ll take from it is that it’ll take at least another couple of months for the players to be playing Angeball correctly.
I’m really looking forward to it once it all clicks considering how good we look currently.
Good positive play from us
Unlicky with Brentford draw as it was hard to break down a team that is happy to defend with a bank of 5 and 4 in the midfield for 45 minutes

Ok Sandy.
You do realise that everybody plays everybody else twice right?
Too early for me to get my hopes up. As I've said playing some good football and a top 8 finish will do me this season. I'm just happy that we're not playing negative football.
Well certainly very positive given a new manager and the players having to be "re-programmed' to a different style of play.
As many...its just nice to see us have the ball a bit after the last few years.
I'd still wager anywhere between 7th and 10th.

Hmm, if you look at Spurs games, there are sequence of games that look very easy too. The diff with Arsenal is that they are ahead of us in transition (theirs lasted 5 years ) so many games are relatively easier as Arsenal are much better these days.

Are they much better? One season in seven doesn`t make them better. I would expect Spurs to finish above them this season. One game a week will help Spurs immensely. Distinct advantage over the pack this season with no European football. Chelsea don`t have any either, but they are a complete mess.

Not going by how many seasons they have been good, just the fact that they play a very good football. I have to admit that they do flatter to deceive a bit, as there 11 games loss last season showed - they tailed off and fell apart like a pack of cards last season. They also rode their luck against Forest in the first game...That could be because it is the first game of the season and they are maybe a tad behind in their pre-season. Not sure.
For Spurs, to finish above Arsenal, it means Spurs being 2nd or 3rd at most. That is a big leap of you're placing on us going from 8th to those levels.
I think this is a progressive approach to going back to CL places, and this season is all about building that team and putting the foundations. We are in good shape, no less due to the likes of Bissouma and Sarr, the unfancied players under Conte finding their careers revived and given a proper chance to contribute. The syste, also suits them so much more.
I would deffo say Spurs will be well above the mid tables, unlike Paul Merson said in the gutter media. He said Spurs would struggle to get into the top half of the table
If Spurs finish above Arsenal, I would like the likes of Paul Merson and Martin Keown to leave the media and disappear. Utter dross.

I think a finish in the Europa League places is realistic for where we are during a transitional year. We need to get a striker and another CB for cover.

Arsenal have another easy start like last season. Yet again they get to play Palace before they can get going, so they will fool a lot of people into thinking they are title contenders this year.
