Whichever way you speculate isn’t good though. The scenario you pose, would you marry someone and want to have and bring a child up with them if they had manipulated audio and fabricated injuries that led to you being charged with incredibly serious offences and have a high likelihood of ruining your career…? That doesn’t sound particularly credible either.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not heard of Amber Heard? Took Depp years and being dragged through the mud to clear his name.
1 in 200 are psychopaths.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not sure how that’s a comparative given he took her to court rather than marrying and and settling down!
To reiterate my first sentence there though, any speculation isn’t good. It will always happen given what’s currently in the public domain though, the one similarity to Depp is that if Greenwood really wants to change the court of public opinion then the only route he’s got is to be more public with the actual reasons and scenario of events.
Without that, people will either judge him purely on the audio or continue to speculate.

Having read the club's statements again it does seem that they've left it slightly open for him. Recommce his career away from United etc.
Is there a world do you think where he does spill the beans away from United which allows him to return in a year or two? That is if the whole situation is cleared up.

No idea, it depends what the real events were that led to that audio recording and the withdrawal of key witnesses previously willing to testify and also what Greenwood wants to do himself in the future.
If he wants to at some point play for a high profile PL team again then I think he’s going to have to do more at some stage, even if it’s more public acts of redemption rather than explicitly releasing more details.

Pretty sure from day 1 he amd Harriet has either been under restrictions in communicating info to the public about the case or under orders from their briefs. Its amazing and hilarious how some folk think that they need/should be in the loop of being privy to the details.

Why would he want to though. United's statement will allow him to play in Spain, Germany, Italy if he wants to.
There's no guarantee by releasing anything that he'll change public perception here, or have to spend years defending himself in order to.

Currently, I can’t see it being possible.
Melts. I didn't think so either but, with United, you never know these days.
There's no expectancy on my part that MG will reveal what really happened in that full audio. What I would say though is that public opinion now seems to think of him as an abuser or even a rapist. If that was me I'd be wanting to put the record straight.

Yep. There may well be valid explanations behind all of it, in the absence of it being made publicly though then I just don’t see him having a future back in the spotlight in this country at least and I don’t think anything will be released further as you’d expect them to have done it already. We’ve also already seen the reaction for trying to do it without releasing much further context.
Thing to look out for in the coming weeks is if any further info gets “unofficially” released to willing journos, that might give an idea

His mistakes
On the clubs statement, what did he do then and on the CPS dropping the case, why did the witnesses withdraw and what was the new evidence. They were clearly right to drop it as there was no realistic chance of prosecution.
People can think the CPS were clearly right to drop the case and for United to let him go and still speculate about the answers to those questions, particularly given United are letting him go.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Having read the club's statements again it does seem that they've left it slightly open for him. Recommce his career away from United etc.
Is there a world do you think where he does spill the beans away from United which allows him to return in a year or two? That is if the whole situation is cleared up.

You actually think he should release everything to the public and let them pick over it?

Whichever way you speculate isn’t good though. The scenario you pose, would you marry someone and want to have and bring a child up with them if they had manipulated audio and fabricated injuries that led to you being charged with incredibly serious offences and have a high likelihood of ruining your career…? That doesn’t sound particularly credible either.

Could they not accept the decision of the 'victim' the CPS and the club, and accept the clubs decision as the best outcome for all?

I think 2 years performing well and keeping his nose clean abroad and he will be picked up by a top club.
