Unless we get some sort of sugar daddy them falling behind clubs with sugar daddies is probably inevitable. We should have fallen behind ages ago actually if it wasn't for FSGs excellent running of the club, Klopp and our transfers being mostly spot on.

I'm surprised to see some using words like "poorly run". We are the best run club outside of the sugar daddy clubs. So just admit you want a sugar daddy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arsenal are ran better than us. No sugar daddy

Brighton are run much better than us.

How many times do you have to look stupid before you wake up
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Where their trophies? You'd have slit your wrists by now if we were Arsenal or Brighton.

Are you really that desperate for our owners to do the same as City and Chelsea. I know which I’d rather have thanks.

If you want that type of owner you’ve got a choice of City, Chelsea, Newcastle and possibly even United to support. Their owners will buy everything you’ve been whinging on here about over the years.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Out of interest, why are you so against owners like the above when they give their managers the tools and resources to make them successful. Seems a tad silly don't you think?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A few reasons. Don’t like the ‘race to the top, richest sugar daddy/nation state wins’ road the game is going down/has already gone down. Also don’t like the spoilt brat fans it breeds, see the OP on here and others on the Tranny thread.

FSG have continually said they aren’t the sugar daddy type owners and are keeping things sustainable. The spend, both NET & Gross bears this out. We’ve competed and won the lot under them despite the wealth of City et al. We’ve seen the stadium capacity increased and redeveloped. This should be something to be proud of. Instead we get the likes of the OP and others having a child like fit and trying to see things that aren’t even there.

This type of fan can go and support City or one of the other nation state clubs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They'll never stop until we have a sugar daddy pouring endless money into the club, which going forward will not guarantee much success anyway as multiple other clubs also have bottomless pockets.

The trophies we've won under FSG are worth more than everything City and Chelsea have won put together.

All Klopp has said is the same he has always said in response to certain questions, the club isn't ran like country owned and oil clubs, we do it differently and it's been successful with multiple trophies including the top two, in the most successful era of the club for over three decades.

Last 5 season’s net spend:

As I mentioned, Forrest are an anomaly and why I didn’t include them; but their net spend last over the past year’s transfer windows has been greater than ours over the past 5 years.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

First of all, that net spend table doesn't account for agent fees and other expenditure. Secondly, does transfer net spend represent a club's entire expenditure?

Nottingham annual wage bill is £61m

Liverpool annual wage bill is £142m

That's without accounting for agent fees and sheet. Forest can buy a lot because their signings are paid peanuts compared to ours, their agent fees for their less regarded players are peanuts compared to Liverpool.

So over that 5 years you talk about we've outspent Forest by probably a billion or close to that. Why do I need to explain this to people that have been through school?

Why do I have to state the bleedin' obvious? Can't you think for yourself at the most basic level? Looking at media reports of transfer net spend and therefore concluding that Nottingham Forest are outspending Liverpool FC is one of the most stoopid tings I've ever seen, and I've seen a lotta stoopid things.

I'm genuinely embarrassed for people like you and after Brexit, the Tories and Trump, it worries and concerns me that too many people are stoopid like that.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Presumably you mean City pre 2016.

The club has been making a profit since then and has had zero financial input from the owners.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------
We've won 15 trophies since Pep rolled into town, 99.7% stadium capacity since Covid and made £100m surplus on player sales last season.

Do you honestly think we make a loss every year?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, your fake sponsorships, offshore deals, ambassadorial roles and a ton of other plain cheating keeps you from making a loss every year.

To get to where you are you made a loss of hundreds of millions per year for 3 years running. Your entire revenue couldn't pay the players alone leave alone the tea lady. The fruits of cheating is still cheating, doesn't matter how many years you've been "straight" and you know that.

And some Liverpool fans actually want that at Liverpool. My goodness!
