That conversation doesn't even mean what you say it means. I don't see what's incriminating for the accusers.

Also, this is not official from the accusers, it's a leak that may as well be completely fake. Media outlets will not report it unless it's confirmed as genuine.

It's the girlfriend who may be the problem, rather than women who have met him once.
I hope he is innocent.

I'd qualify the 'trial by social media' remark. Obviously, social media contains lots of shrill voices but overall I'd say the response to the Antony story falls well short of any kind of cancellation mob forming.

As for mainstream media, I also don't see any evidence of a consistent 'agenda' against Antony. Outlets will report what gets attention. Some will be cautious to verify stories before publishing. Often there's a gap between stories circulating on socials and getting reported in MSM. Some of that is that socially shared stories often go round the world twice before the journalists pick them up. But if this one doesn't emerge in big titles, it's not because there's an anti-Antony agenda. It's either because the story isn't going to pay off in the attention economy, or that upon digging there are good reasons to tread cautiously (suspicion of fakery, potential legal action, etc)

Nothing would generate more clicks than this conversation if it was genuine. Doesn't make sense that they fail to report it and forego all those clicks.

There's been a few SM stories circulating that purport to show message exchanges that challenge some of the claims made against Antony. I obviously can't speak to their legitimacy.

What I would say is that Antony has, errr... come out swinging, and as far as I can tell, not in an embarrassing and incriminating Prince Andrew type of way.

Like I said from the beginning I’m not saying he’s innocent, I’m just saying that it hasn’t been reported for whatever reason.

I’d imagine we’ll find out one way or another if the recording is authentic

The biggest clubs generate the most clicks, when they’re winning on the pitch the media will highlight the positives, when they’re not they do the opposite.

The whole thing seems fairly reliable (to my knowledge, The United Stand is the biggest fan channel in the country) and they've apparently had this verified and have gone through all the appropriate legal channels to get this out.

Brent Di Cesare aka Mark Goldbridge is the single worst thing to ever happen to this fanbase.

Which part do you want to start with, the part where she says the main accuser is lying, only for her to then become an accuser. The part where she says the main accuser has done this to other players in the past. The part where she says she has been offered money to go against Antony. If he’s innocent, and I’ve no idea if he is, I’d be right out the soon ASAP.

Arsenal haven’t suspended their player under investigation, Liverpool defended gerrard through a few issues, Suarez too.

It’s pathetic that an accusation can ruin your career without any legal proceedings.

The Greenwood case was special because of the evidence in public, lots of great players have had false allegations thrown at them.
