People shouldn’t be as mean as they are but in my humble opinion he shouldn’t be playing for England if he’s not playing for United.
Abuse is over the top but he doesn't help himself.
His crowning moment of stupidity was his celebration against san marino, like he was saying "you guys that have slated my defending can all shut up, because I've just scored against San Marino"
Never been a fan but I do feel sorry for him now. Must be awful having this play out infront of the nation.
I think he's going to have to go on loan in January for sure. He's getting cheered onto the pitch now by opposition fans. When that starts happening you know it's over.
Southgate hasn't helped the situation because if he wasn't auto picking him he'd have left a few weeks ago and none of this would be happening now.
I was gioig to say too... its Gareth's fault for picking him without question, when he certainly doesnt deserve a call up. And that OG last night will make it a lot worse for him. Well done Gareth!
Let him show some form at Club level either at United or elsewhere before he plays more international football.
Well over the top but also shouldn't be in the squad now. I get why he was retained at first but it's getting silly now.
It was a poor own goal and tbh I thought he looked plenty overweight.

It was Albania to be fair
it's so bizarre - he's probably one of the most hated footballers around right now and it's not even for off the field reasons, just because he isn't very good.
I understand united fans being frustrated with him but what feels like half of other fans seems to genuinely loathe him.
and the irony is he's genuinely been a good player for England too
Not gone far enough in my opinion.
Think it's fine to complain about his performance football wise but some of the other abuse is not needed, each to their own however
It’s ridiculous really. Never seen anything like it.
"Do you know who I am?"
That Harry Maguire.
Yeah we know who you are.
Telling your teammates to be calm after you've screwed up yet again.
How many times now?
For Utd who no longer play you or for England when you slow play down to such a degree it's laughable.
A walking calamity own goal again slabhead that's you.
Or John Terry/Terry Butcher/Maldini to Safegate🤮

Karius is about as close as I've seen I think but we binned him off before it could escalate.
Not his fault Safegate has a hard on for him.
Say what you like but in my life at least I've seen a player get as much hate as he has. All things aside he is a human being after all and imagine you getting slated as much as he has for you job etc.
Surely this is all having an unimaginable amount of mental impact on him.
He needs to move to Spurs and his humiliation will be complete.

Some of this is his fault, for example he should've left Utd in the summer.
I said he was crap when United signed him and that it was 80m down the drain. United would have been the same or better off just keeping Johnny Evans. As you'd expect I got laughed off.
hes sucks, what the issue with saying that, however i do think in this instance all abuse should be at southgate
It's not his fault really. He shouldn't be in the England team as he's not playing club football. He is what he is, a slightly above average ventre back who has no form beccause he's not playing. Southgate is to blame.

He's not playing because he has no form
A small part of me wouldn't mind seeing a few of our CB's out of action for a while, with Maguire playing at CB, just to shut up all those OTT critics.
The paradox with that though is that those of us who haven't gone OTT would have to watch Maguire play CB for us.
I have no sympathy for the guy, he had his chance to move away to a smaller club to get his career back but chose to sit on the bench and take the money.
I've always thought he's a bit of an arogant t-t, the way he cupped his ears when scoring against San Marino, supposedly telling the Greek police 'do you know who I am' when he got in a fight. Also his annoying face doesn't help.
But saying that Southgate is also to blame for continually picking him even when his form is rubbish or isn't even playing.
Way OTT.
I actually feel sorry for the bloke.
