Even if Amrabat is fit to be in the squad (and I've no idea if he is), I'd be amazed if he was thrown in to the starting 11 straight away.

The way Brighton play could suit us in what we're trying to do with the high pressing.

I think we win tomorrow at home.

We will get beat here comfortably.

However once we get players back to fitness I think we will start to see results and some massive improvement.

Under no circumstances should we undertake a tour like that again where the first team players hardly got any minutes on the pitch.

Absolutely dreading it.

Whatever the result, we will be comprehensively outplayed – of that there is very little doubt.

First home league game I can’t make in ages and it’s not on fckin TV?!

That team will get murdered with eriksen there.
He'd struggle in the championship I reckon.
Hoping to see amrabat play, as well as Rasmus.

Other players that need to leave, awb, dalot, both bang average and both wouldn't get near another top 4 team.
Got no options tho, so we're stuck for now.

Agree with VC, what the fk was the idea behind not playing main staff in pre seasons games?

If McT is fit I’d rather him next to Casemiro than Eriksen at least to start the game. Amrabat could get thrown in if he’s fit enough, Brighton is not the game for Eriksen.

I read yesterday that Martinez is a doubt. Get slabhead in and tell him he’s defending for Brighton so he scored against them.

Could see some joy with Bruno playing balls through to Hoijlund, Rashford etc with Brighton pressing high though.

Could be an exciting game.

Think we'll lose this. Our run of fixtures after this looks pretty decent though and I'd back us to pick up some points. I think we have City in October, but apart from that it looks OK throught to December.

Decent? We play Bayern after this game.

I am hoping the home debut of Hojlund and playing with a proper target man willl give us better ball retention and options in the final third but then again would not be surprised at all if ETH starts with Martial.

We’ve struggled at home so far with two far worse teams than Brighton so play the same level again we won’t be winning, huge pressure already if we don’t so fingers crossed it goes our way, head saying defeat heart saying with a stronger midfield and attack we can come out on top.

United supporters need to get behind the team atm. especially as the wheels seem to be falling off just about everywhere. VC is correct, its mainly down to a knock on effect from the pathetic preseason the players had. We are still catching up with fitness levels, togetherness, discipline, attitude and coms with the manager.... with many teams in the PL and Brighton are certainly one of them.

If we are going to get anything out of this game those in OT on Saturday have to get behind the team and that will also probably include Maguire. The treatment he is getting on SM is ridiculous. I always expect to win any home game we play, but this one I m not sure I do expect to win anymore.

Martinez is available according to ETH.

Looks like Mount and Varane will be back next weekend, good news on Varane at least.

The 11 we field won't be too far away from our best team. It's the lack of a bench again which will be sadly evident.

With this team a draw is possible, however, with Eriksen starting it has loss written all over so Amrabat all day long. I could also say the same about Casemiro, needs to up his game.

A score draw is a realistic aim.

I don't think it was a dig, just saying how he saw it.

I don't think he's having a pop at Ole tbf but he should be careful if he is. Ole came 3rd and followed it up with a 2nd place finish and there's no way we are finishing top 2 this season. I don't even think we will finish top 3 either.

Anywhere from 4th to 6th for me. We will improve from our ropey start definitely but I think City Arsenal and Liverpool will be the top 3.

I was joking. As soon as all the characters SAF put together left the culture disappeared.
