My biggest gripe with ETH so far is Antony. Okay the manager doesn't dictate the fee we paid but he was very keen to get him here regardless and he's not shown anything like the justification for it thus far.
And in ETH's defence he's had so much negative stuff to deal with already, most of which aren't on the field related either. I feel for him, I really do. He's had a raw deal really in comparison to previous managers in terms of scandals and distractions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In a weak league Antony was a stand out player. Not many from the Dutch league transfer that form over to the EPL, not many record signings for Utd have worked out well either! What annoys me the most about Antony is how one dimensional he is, can't even beat a player but has very good work rate. So, is he a FB or a wide player? 😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pretty much how I see it too. His defensive work is his best asset and he plays in a front 3.
Very poor signing. Not like us at all. 😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We are so profligate with money, may be better off if we changed our model.
If our DOF was best in class no way in a million years we buy the likes of Antony or even Sancho!
So many issues, where do we start, mate?! 😔
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If we had done nothing but sign talented young players for £25m 30m tops we'd have not been much worse off. That's the disappointing thing.

I have never been a sancjo fan and still have reservations with ETH.
From an objective stance, I don't support the manager doing what he did. It should've been dealt with in-house knowing the player profile
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In normal circumstances I'd agree however Sancho has been thrown enough rope now by the club and manager.
He effectively got a 3 month holiday last year with full pay so he's a cheeky git for what he's said. And the rumours suggest it's because he has a severe computer game addition as well of all things so I'm sorry I have no sympathy.
We need grafters and winners at this club if we want to be a top club again. We don't need snowflakes like Sancho.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Key word being 'rumours'
Let's not write the kid off over rumours.
He clearly had some serious issue to warrant his solo training trip, so seems counter intuitive to out him now.

Doing what he did? He was asked a question and answered it honestly. And all he said was the player hadnt performed in training. Nothing scandalous or uncalled for. If that’s all it took for Sancho, who hasn’t had a single stand out performance in all his time at United, to throw the toys out then it says all we need to know about the player.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But all Sancho did was defend his performance in training.

On the flip side using your own argument maybe it is the manager that is making an uproar out of nothing. He called him out and the player made a rebuttal as he felt he trained well.
This is the world we live in now, I don't like it but here we are. Players have access to social media.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Called him out??? Are you for real?? ‘He didn’t perform in training this week’ that it’s literally all he said. In what world is that ‘calling him out’. Jesus wept the world has gone soft.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You are right the world has gone soft and you are demonstrating it. Like it or not, he did call him out by stating his training was not up to standard. The player made a rebuttal. Move on rather than crying out about apology both end

It really is comedy people can't see this. Sancho defending himself disaster/ how could he. Manager says his training sub par nothing wrong with this.
I am more than happy for the manager to deal with Sancho in house however he sees fit, but the manager messed up here, he messed up.
This train of thought he was asked and answered is a lazy take. This is the biggest club still in the world in my opinion. Roy Keane was sacked for this sort of thinking. I was asked and told it how I saw fit. Week later gone!

We were a mess under SAF too. He made it happen but did not leave behind a squad worthy of inheriting. Employing Moyes to start off didn't help!
If proper succession planning was done the owners would have overseen an overhaul of the structure. We just tried to replace SAF and hoped for the best!

Likes of City have proved the blueprint of the "football club" is set by the DoF and the manager fits into to that template. All the players city have are within the template of the "club", they are guardiola players first and foremost but Guardiola is in the mould of the club!
The overarching structure the owners provide supports the DoF. This is what sets the tone, the culture. Money alone is not enough.

If you have the money get the best, if that means stealing the best from your neighbours then so be it. If the best team is leading the way, you either join them (in the way they do things) to match them then beat them, you don't try to reinvent the wheel.

'Like this' ? He said hed trained well FFS. Not different to a subbed player throwing their shirt down or refusing the managers handshake, and yet look at the fallout.
ETH could have dealt with it in house, started him tomorrow and either got a good performance, or been justified in his comments.

He effectively got a 3 month holiday last year with full pay so he's a cheeky git for what he's said. And the rumours suggest it's because he has a severe computer game addition as well of all things so I'm sorry I have no sympathy.

'Like this' ? He said hed trained well FFS. Not different to a subbed player throwing their shirt down or refusing the managers handshake, and yet look at the fallout.
ETH could have dealt with it in house, started him tomorrow and either got a good performance, or been justified in his comments.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He said he trained well so that's it then? 😂
Why would the manager lie about it? What does he have to gain from it? He's picked him for almost every match squad since he took charge when he's been available. It makes no sense mate.
Jadon doesn't like it that his slacking off or poor punctuality has been called out. Poor him.

Remember when some fans said even if Ole doesn't win anything he will have at least left a great squad to build on and that maybe he could be the DoF for the club.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Likes of City have proved the blueprint of the "football club" is set by the DoF and the manager fits into to that template. All the players city have are within the template of the "club", they are guardiola players first and foremost but Guardiola is in the mould of the club!

There's stories from City, Dortmund and England about his training issues. This isn't new.
Why are people so quick to defend somebody who has done the square root of feck all for us?
Nicolas Pepe did better for Arsenal than Sancho has done for us and he's ridiculed by Arsenal fans.
Sancho is a waster. He needs to be binned.

If you have the money get the best, if that means stealing the best from your neighbours then so be it. If the best team is leading the way, you either join them (in the way they do things) to match them then beat them, you don't try to reinvent the wheel.

He clearly had some serious issue to warrant his solo training trip, so seems counter intuitive to out him now.

The overarching structure the owners provide supports the DoF. This is what sets the tone, the culture. Money alone is not enough.
We are light years away.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nonsense. The club is set up to provide Peo with what he wants, not the other way around.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Peo?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s ETH’s largely unknown nickname in the world of underground Dutch golden shower clubs.,

I have never been a sancjo fan and still have reservations with ETH.
From an objective stance, I don't support the manager doing what he did. It should've been dealt with in-house knowing the player profile
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Doing what he did? He was asked a question and answered it honestly. And all he said was the player hadnt performed in training. Nothing scandalous or uncalled for. If that’s all it took for Sancho, who hasn’t had a single stand out performance in all his time at United, to throw the toys out then it says all we need to know about the player.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
On the flip side using your own argument maybe it is the manager that is making an uproar out of nothing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Look at the negativity towards Sancho just from that statement though.
Hundreds of thousands of people abusing you because the manager decided to out him as a poor trainer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There's stories from City, Dortmund and England about his training issues. This isn't new.
Why are people so quick to defend somebody who has done the square root of feck all for us?
Nicolas Pepe did better for Arsenal than Sancho has done for us and he's ridiculed by Arsenal fans.
Sancho is a waster. He needs to be binned.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe not everyone like you we want to apply being objective. If Sancho is sold I won’t lose an iota of sleep.
We are commenting on the situation at hand, irrespective of his performances, the manager in my opinion dealt with this wrong.
He is now on camera talking about standards this and that. How about standards of hooking Bruno when this fella is playing against us. Antony been dire
And this manager keeps playing him

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well he wasn't injured and the fitness thing was an excuse clearly as sending a player away isnt going to get them match fit is it?
Whatever it was, the club were good to him. To repay the manager like this just shows how entitled and pathetic he is. How can he say he's not treated him well when he was the only player given a three month holiday with full pay?
He's got a victim mentality.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
'Like this' ?
Poor him.
