I think G Nev sums up the whole situation United find themselves in with this....
'The Glazers are responsible. It’s how it works. You own a business and everything good and bad sits with you! They inherited the best in all areas. They’ve overseen 10 years of mediocrity off the pitch and on the pitch. They set the culture of greed, ill-discipline, indecision and uncertainty that runs right through the club. It would be best if they sold the club with some speed and efficiency and allowed at least the off the pitch items to be corrected properly that re-set the tone and culture. Football is volatile so results on the pitch can be erratic and cyclical but if the off the pitch stuff including the owners direction and leadership are spot on it gives you a better chance to succeed on it.'
Club’s still following the same structure when SAF was the manager, where manager has full power, it’s all very dated. Man Utd are the footballing equivalent of Nokia. Too stubborn to change that will eventually lead to the demise of a once great club. Just like the stadium, it’s all falling apart.

But the stadium isnt falling apart, is it?
However it does needs upgrading to a level that befits the accoldae of one of the biggest clubs in the World and aslo compete (with many lesser clubs these days) who are actually investing into their own futures as PL clubs who have ambition and foresight.
They have done such a bad job with the club, the stadium and the finances that we are basically only being saved now by a sugar daddy / oil state style owner. Something I never wanted to see happen at this club. However I can swallow my pride and accept that a Qatar ownership for its many many faults is still slightly preferable to more years of this what we have now. The Glazers have to go or this club is finished for good.

Id take either Jim (with his debt plans) or the Sheikh right now. Just to save this club from it's (badly) managed decline.
What was Liverpools club structure like in the 00's? Far worse
Our homegrown players still fought and delivered, our fans were still the famous 12th man.

bet you werernt one of them either. Or are even, today.
I was absolutely delighted with my team, it was joyous.
We were battering Sir Alex with Dossena and Riera
They know they're finished
Terrible club and worse fan base
Sure you were. Congratulations, though, on an article where RDD is commenting you’ve managed to make yourself look the biggest cuuuunt on it. That takes some doing.
Listen we were in a title race and with your best ever team.....and had Riera/Benayoun as our starting Wide players.
You can't compete on a billion pound budget.
Neil Mellor, pongolle and Baros were our forwards in 2005. Our fans brought the house down. Your own legends say Anfield was hell for them......
Let just ignore the fans protesting against the ownership.
That's fine protest, but support your team.....be realistic.
Our ownership was bad......yours is a dream in comparison. If hicks n Gillet gave us the most expensive squads in history....wow.
Rafa had to sell to buy at times. Still overachieverd

ETH was brought in to change the culture at the club apparently. Which tells you everything you need to know about how clueless the Glazers are at running a football club.
