Its too bad Perisic can only play one half because he's by far the most intelligent winger we have and his crosses are almost always on the money.
Kulusevski tries hard all game but holds the ball too long and runs into double team trouble.
Solomon is promising but should take lessons from Perisic on crossing the ball.
I didn’t understand the hate toward Kulu. I thought he looked good on the weekend however the box was so incredibly congested.

Kulu played well on Saturday, and scored a fine goal. He is an integral part of the team.

We'll let Ange decide
I feel because of him winning the game, Richarlison has to start against Arsenal.
That’s said I feel the way Arsenal play would perhaps be more suited to Son. But then again what Richarlison lacks from playing on the shoulder he more than makes up for in determination and fight which we will certainly need in the NLD.
Happy for Ange to make the call either way!
Kulusevski could ultimately be used better centrally in the position that he was playing when he scored his goal and I think also Johnson will play on the right as we progress

Ange has decided in our last two games, Son is a no 9 and Richy is a bench warmer 🤷♂️
Son should play central again for Arsenal just as he did against Burnley. However good an impact Richarlison had, he won't become a 20 goals a season striker over night. He did what we bought him to be - a squad player who can strengthen our options and make a difference in certain games.
Arsenal are going to be more open than Sheff United were and Son is our best goalscorer who likes a goal past Arsenal as it is. Richy for his efforts in the last game can start but go on the left.
On another note - how good is it that we all actually talking football again

also having options off the bench is fantastic
The last 10 mins of Saturday's game told you everything you need to know about our attacking options.....
1) Kulu needs to use right foot more
2) Richie is such a streaky player. The confidence that goal must have given was incredible. 2 mins after the goal, he's holding the ball up, playing with his head up and laying off a brilliant little pass for the winner !!!
3) Son is ineffective against teams who play a low block, he needs space to run in behind. He can start centrally away at Arsenal but would have been more effective out wide on sat.
4) Perisic's delivery is superb, great option off the bench when we are throwing men into the box
5) Johnson looked bright when we came on, He's defo rapid and seemed to be on the same page as Son, Kulu & Madders
COYS
All great options for Ange to have. Without an untouchable No 9 (Kane).. I think its a case of "horses for courses" until the Jan window depending on who we are playing.
We can't let a 10 minute cameo dictate our tactics going forward. Starting Richy against Arsenal would be a disaster and a missed opportunity in my opinion. Space in behind means Son is the more suitable choice. You have to remember that Son didn't get a sniff because they played 3 at the back against just one striker. Richy scoring from a set piece has little to do with tactics. They were tired and massively switched off.
The problem I have with Richy is that he seems a very fragile player. Unless he's the main man playing every minute of every game, his head goes down. He's difficult to manage. The last thing Ange should be doing is keeping him in just to keep his confidence up. We should be lining up to win games, not keep everyone happy.
I'd be interested in seeing Brennan get a start on the left over Solomon - again that kind of pace will help us a lot

More likely to play on the right I think
generally sure but I want deki to start still and Brennan has played on the left before a bit
Against Arsenal I’d go:
LW: Richarlison
ST: Son
RW: Kulu
Bring on Johnston, Perisic or Solomon for whoever is having an off day. Good to have 6 for them 3 positions.
Are people including Richy out of sympathy or based ability?
I doubt we'll ever see Richy as a winger under Ange

Agree. Feel like people want to include because he of his mental state and not on his ability.
Interesting hearing Ange's comments after the game on Richy :
When asked whether he spoke to Richarlison before the game about his mental health, Postecoglou made it very clear that he would leave that to people who could make a real difference.
"No I didn't speak to him. That's not my area of expertise, not just for Richy but for all the boys. If they have issues we have people who are much better equipped to handle those kind of things," he explained.
"For me, I try to provide an environment for the players where they can feel comfortable to come into that space. I didn't want to overwhelm Richy by asking him a million questions or offering advice for stuff I don't really know and probably shouldn't because that's for him to work out with people better equipped than me."
Feels like this is further evidence of Ange keeping his distance between himself and the players.
One theme which keeps appearing is Ange isn't an arm around the shoulder, type of guy. More old school in the sense of it's a man's world, deal with it type of attitude. Pretty sure at Celtic he was the same.

Or some view football as in the main a confidence sport. When someone is benched they have to take their opportunity. When they take the opportunity they should be rewarded until they have another stinker.
Lucas Moura and the CL semi was a perfect example. He should’ve played

Different scenario with Lucas.
Lets stay on track. Pretty sure Ricky started the first three games and was awful. He has had a chance already. Or is better to forget because sympathy overides the past?
Son was given a chance up top and took it with open arms.

Indeed Son did but then drew a blank against Sheffield. Nothing to do sympathy and everything to do with him being the reason we got 3 pts
