RICHARLISON

Richarlison is an excellent player tbh and it’s a poor reflection on Spurs that’s he’s underperformed so much since signing for them.

He’s much more blue-chippy than Son and whoever else you’ve got in attack

So you're worried he will score the winner against Arsenal?

on one hand richarlison is clearly a confidence player and that confidence needs to be managed carefully. not giving him a start after he's finally got his first pl goal of the season could undo all the work yesterday did for him. And it's not as if starting him would be a total charity case - he'd certainly offer a threat and we know he'd be up for a derby. Arsenal are also the first team we've faced so far that pose the threat of consistently being able to play through our press, so with that in mind maybe we need our best pressers on the pitch.

but at the same time there's gonna be a lot more space in behind and we saw how good Son was down the middle in that situation.

Without Kane, Richarlison is their best player imo.

It's a great problem for Ange to have. Son is less effective wide nowadays. Not ineffective, but we have younger, more suited options in wide positions. Son is more clinical than anyone since Kane left, so keeping him central will lead to goals, but you're right. Richy is better in the air and a better option as a target for crosses.

So the debate is not who's better. It's more who starts and who comes on as a sub later if need be depending on the oppo/situation.

Every team we have played so far this season has employed a low block against us. A part from Fulham we've managed to crack every team eventually. I would think next Sunday will be the first game where we will enjoy a bit of space to play in if your manager sticks to what he's done so far, well at least I hope he does anyway.

I think Richy is best when Perisic is also there to feed him crosses. I like both as subs to change games

I really liked the fact that Richie stayed calm and played that little pass to Deki for the winner. He was pumped up after getting the equaliser and many strikers eager to impress would have taken a wild shot that usually sails over the bar. Still think I would start Sonny in the middle for Arsenal though.

We have multiple ways of mixing and matching and now with Brennan added to it.
Ange will not be negative and will test the mental fragility of their Cb!

The simple solution is to start Richarlison on the left. Solomon was good yesterday but he's not great at pressing and not shown end product yet.

Richarlison - Son - Johnson gives us pressing, goals, and pace. Would make it harder for Arsenal to play out and push up.

Agree with this. The next couple of games is made for Son. Both team we play have a high line like we do. I don't trust Richy to start the NLD but he would be ideal sub to bring on if plan A (Son) doesn't work. Perisic and BJ too.

I want to see more from Solomon. Just read a start on Kulu, most touches and carries in the pen area in the league. He is trending well.

That's a very good point. Perisic brings that bit of guile (lovely quick layoff to Richy in the build up) and delivery and Richy adds the presence and movement in the box.

Son has caused Arsenal problems in the past. I'd have no problem with Son Richy Deki or an unchanged libe up vs Arsenal. We will get more save to play in and countering will be key.

I was fearing Martinelli v Pedro more but he might be injured. Even still ,Trossard will be a handful just as much.

It's closer to 350 million not excluding sales, but what does that matter, Chelsea have spent a billion in two windows and they are rubbish.

Son Richy Deki

Richarlison - Son - Johnson

Neither will happen.

? Son Kulu

Think Solomon will get the nod because of his pace and he could do a job doubling up on Saka.

Yea but Saka is world class and probably the best winger in the league.

We leave lots of space down the sides with Udogie going inside a lot.

Prob will end up more VDV v Saka

Yeah can't see Udogie bombing forward too much next week. I think Ange will have some respect for them in their own yard and not to be so gung ho.

Having said that, they do play mid week, so Ange might go for it from the off to catch them out if they are leggy.

Son is the better left winger of the 2.

Richy is the best no.9 of the 2
