It’s pretty simple imo. A player does the business he stays in the team. A player doesn’t he drops to the bench. Which we can now do with 6 players trying for 3 positions. It keeps them all on their toes, knowing if they deliver they start. Given a start if they don’t, they sit it out again.

Or some view football as in the main a confidence sport. When someone is benched they have to take their opportunity. When they take the opportunity they should be rewarded until they have another stinker.

No Son stays for me. Should be Richarlison, Son and Kulu as the front 3 for the Arsenal game. All 3 are presently on form. Solomon is promising but is a bit light weight for me against White at RB.

I quite like Solomon against White. Think his pace and trickery could do him. Son is also very lightweight. I think White would have a better time against Son than Solomon.
