Would you take a draw now

Both team to score looks like free money in this one.

Neither can keep a clean sheet although we've let in less than Spyrs so far (not that it means much at this stage).

Liverpool dont know when they beaten. Even if we 2 up a man down I wouldnt bank on us winning. Think it will be end to end. If we do get a draw it would be hard to upset about it. We will have to take our chances thou

I wouldn't be unhappy with a draw for sure, plus it keeps our unbeaten run going which is on 17 atm.

A win would be a real marker though, and I suspect Spurs are thinking similar.

Yeah 2 teams that specialise in comebacks. This game should be good for the neutral.

I'd take a draw away at Spurs normally but with City winning flat out, we really need to be winning it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pretty much this. Spurs are in great goal scoring form and we haven't kept a clean sheet this season yet. The also concede a fair few goals though so should get a good game.

Challenging City is a very long shot IMO, but a fan never gives up until it's mathematically impossible so I can't concede that If take a draw. Want to win if we are to challenge City. Will be a massive statement if we can pull it off and our confidence and belief will really start rising.

posted on 26/9/23

We should be looking at winning all our home games and this is no different in that respect.
I expect a high scoring game and have an increasing confidence in our defence and 'keeper, so I want us to win and I think we will win.

Interested to hear what Liverpool Fans think of Spurs thuis season. Do you look at us as a rival for top 4 Or at least a side moving in the right direction ? or too early to tell ?

You guy like Ange ? I heard yesterday he's a lifelong Liverpool fan
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Personally I don't think our aim should be top four but the title so I don't see Spurs as a rival but certainly see them battling for top four. It's a breath of fresh air seeing Spurs actually playing football again and they're certainly heading in the right direction. Still think you need a top striker and a centre back, in order to consolidate top four again and push on.

Son through the middle is going to be an interesting test of this Liverpool defence.

As TAA steps into midfield it is often Konate moving over wide right, and he has the pace to deal with Son. VVD isnt quite the player he was, and even old man Perisic sat him down last season. Son in that channel between VVD and Roberston will be interesting.

For me the key to playing against them is break their press and then there is space to run at their defence which lacks a bit of pace.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I want to us to expose VVD. Feel like he is not the same player. That said, after Romero's performance on Sunday they might cancel each other out lol.

TAA may return from injury and his side should always be targeted. The real battle will be the midfield area.

Yeah it will be another cracking game like Sunday.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Both newly constructed midfield but just think ours has the slight edge, largely based on Bissouma's form. He can break those lines and feed Maddison perhaps more effectively than Mac Allister and his partner can do for LFC, while also being vital in interceptions and tackles (always one of the best statistically in games)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
True about Bissouma but Macallister and Szoboszlai have more potent strikers than Woolwich, so any mistakes will be punished. Nunez is hit and miss but he is much better than last season. Salah loves playing against us.

Feels like Pool have a better attack than Woolwich but their defence isn't as strong. We need to make home advantage count.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Liverpool have a better defence and goalkeeper also. Midfield the jury is out but looking good so far.

Villa 3-0

Will be interesting to see how Spurs get on with a tougher set of fixtures as it can't be denied they've had an easy set to begin the season with Bournemouth and two promoted sides in Sheffield United and Burnley in their first six. They also had Fulham in the cup which they lost when they had some rotation. They'll have then had Arsenal and Liverpool in a row, a nice couple of games to get back into it with Luton and Fulham and then they've got a proper run with Chelsea, Villa, City, West Ham and Newcastle, as well as an away trip to Wolves. After those games we will see how Spurs are shaping up.

So we would have played 16 odd teams by them. It will be interesting to see how everyone else is shaping up as well 👍🏻.

I think this game will be much easier than at Arsenal. I can see something like 3-1 or 4-1 Spurs. Liverpool don`t have a great defence these days. Spurs will be the first side to fully test it this season.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Better defence than Spurs so far but apparently it isn't great. Classic Sandy logic 😂

I would not say we've had an easy set of fixtures.

4 out of 6 have been away to start with.

I wouldnt have it much different from Liverpools to be honest.

I dont think Liverpool have really played any form teams - Chelsea dreadful, NUFC lost 3 games already, Villa have an appalling away record vs top half teams. Wolves and Bournemouth also bottom 5. West Ham at Anfield is as close as its got to a form team so far.

This will be LFCs biggest game so far, but not ours

We can both be happy with our starts and we know we have tougher games to come !

Playing 13 men will not be easy, but we can still beat the Dippers, and are certainly well over due, as always, whoever is refereeing and on VAR will be pivotal.

You creamed your pants over beating United yet overall they lost 6 games already this season. Talking down Newcastle? We'll see how Spurs do against them.

This game is big because Spurs good form in front of goal and Chelsea currently sheet. Probably a one off. Other than that the Chelsea game is always a bigger game.

Sure we were happy to beat them, Ange's 2nd game and we did very well to comfortably put them away.

Liverpool can join Luton and Bournemouth on the list of teams who failed to beat Chelsea so far. Big game, yes, but they've been garbage

Chelsea always play well against us even when they're crap. We were a good VAR decision with the Jackson handball away from being six out of six.

Was first game of season. No one knew if their bad form would continue.so it's easy to talk now. If we played them now we would set up differently I think.

Also a good time to play them and get a point at the Bridge. I reckon they'll be in better form by the time Spurs go there.

We have a better team and we just don’t lose to spurs.

I think it’s once in ten years in the league, and we’re unbeaten at their place.

Mentality spurs just shiiiit their pants when they play us.

The way they play is perfect for us and they will have a go too especially at home.

I think with our firepower up front we’ll out score most teams.

Spurs might get a few goals but I fancy us to win.

2-4 Liverpool
