Its about time that women who falsely accuse men to be hold accountable for their actions with fitting repercussions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Statistically far far women don’t get justice for the crimes committed to them by men than the other way round so while no one who falsely accuses the opposite seex should go unpunished the default setting should lean towards believe all women until the imbalance is sorted
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good luck if you're ever accused.

I think it’s time we gave up on Amad. It’s just never gonna happen with him, like ever.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Based on what? He has only just turned 21 and had a good loan last season to a Championship club. Similar to one of our famous right wingers from recent history.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I just don’t see it with him. And with our troubles with right wingers as of late surely at 21 - which isn’t exactly young these days - you’d think if Ten Hag saw something in him he wouldn’t be loaned out again.

Maybe I’m wrong but I’d be shocked if we didn’t sell him at the end of the season.

We haven’t had any famous right wingers for 14 years.

Absolute rubbish. You don't correct a supposed imbalance by forcing it the other way 'just because'.

There's a far more reasonable, sensible way to treat this and that's neither party is condemned of anything until am actual investigation and trial has taken place.

An accusation should be taken seriously and heard but am attitude of "believe all women" does nothing to ensure that whoever is the actual victim doesn't get done over.

You don't punish a potentially innocent person because "maybe a different guilty person got away with it so this balances it out".

This idiotic thinking is right up there with things like inherited sin or "I can be horrible to you because some people who looked like you were horrible to some people who looked like me once upon a time"

Just take the accusation seriously, do a proper investigation and go from there. It's that simple. You don't need to make a decision on the outcome before yohve looked at anything. We did this for a long, long time and lot of innocent people suffered as a result. Please stop trying to take us back to the days of witch hunts, where you could just finger point at someone and see them burned because people are too emotional and thick to consider the actual facts first.

"believe all to try and adjust a perceived imbalance" is not only utterly moronic, it's simply unfair. Doesn't matter if 1000 actual offenders go away with it the one person who is innocent should not be condemend before the evidence has even been heard. That goes for everyone, across the board, regardless of your race, gender, age, background etc.

This is dangerously stupid logic and I can guarantee that if you were in a position of needing to defend yourself, you'd completely agree. Take away the opportunity to virtue signal, nobody would go along with themselves being condemned for anything before actual evidence had been considered and a trial had.

You'd have been right there, cheering as women burned at the stake if you'd just been born in a different century wouldn't you

I worry far less about being falsely accused than I worry about the more likely scenario that a female family member or friend is assaulted by a man and the police can’t proceed to conviction as there’s not enough evidence.

I don't get what you mean by 21 not being young these days. 21 is 21. And players have always and will always develop at different rates. Mainly down to their physique/growing.

As for ETH sending him out on loan, was he going to do that? Towards the end of last season he seemed to indicate that Amad would be given a chance with the first team this season whilst he was still on loan at Sunderland.

The default setting should not lean either way.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
If your daughter came to you and told you sometime had raped her, would your default setting be completely neutral? She may just be lying?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No but that's why parents don't get to lead investigation into alleged perpetrators either

And why family members aren't on juries.

Or why a father who was a police officer would not then being in charge of that case.

Because they would obviously be emotional and biased which isn't anything like a foundation on which to make a judgement.

This is such a stupid question, the fact you think it's some 'gotcha l' is stunning.

Im actually checking out, the levels of sheer stupidity on display across this thread are embarrassing. So many people genuinely struggle with basic logic and reason.

Exactly. One woman falsely accusing a guy actually damages the anti rape side's cause more than it does the pro rape guys' side. Just one lie out of a million is statistically significant and means it's 50/50 whether the other 999,999 women are lying.

One Muslim out of a billion was a terrorist? Got to be wary of those Muslims. The default position when you meet a Muslim should be a neutral one. You shouldn't assume either way if they are or are not a terrorist. They're out to get us.

(Disclaimer: you don't understand)

It's not about the probability of being accused, but rather if you would get a fair trial. You think someone should be convicted based on insufficient evidence—this is shocking.

The pro rape side are more than happy to ruin a woman's life by accusing her of lying if the accused gets found not guilty based on not enough evidence. Which is the majority of cases.

When did I say that someone should be convicted?

By saying ‘believe all women’ I’m saying that the police default should be to properly investigate all allegations made by women and try to give them as much of the benefit of the doubt they can whereas for as long as time itself the balance has often been against women and men have gotten away with far too much.

Of course there will be a small number of women who make extremely damaging false claims but that shouldn’t derail an effort by the police to listen to women much more than they have been.

Pretty sure Robb was one championing Pellistri as the lord savour.

They all need to be given a fair chance in my opinion. Pessilstri seems to be getting that now. Amad hasn't had a chance yet due to injury, but did enough for Sunderland to be given a shot.
