Exellent player and as you said part of the best 4 man midfield the PL has seen.
Contrary to what others think I agree he may have been an underrated player for United, due to the circumstances in which he left, which the same could be said for Giggs and Keane also, both underrated for me. Scholes being the only one slightly overrated, with the other three being better players than he was, although that only came after he retired.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Zzzzzzz
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why do these Scousers persist with this nonsense about Scholes only being rated after he retired? I must have imagined Hansen and Lawro singling him our for praise week after wekk on MOTD.
Such a weak wum.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
TOOR just can’t cope with the fact some people rate him higher than his beloved Gerrard, sends him doolally
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Scholes, Lampard and Gerrard debate is all a bit daft anyway. They were quite different players that all did things that the others couldn't. Gerrard was the more rounded player. He was all action, could attack and defend and play a variety of roles/positions. Lampard was a fantastic scorer and creator, but played a lot of his games in a no.10 position with 2 hard working CMs behind him. Scholes could control the pace of a game in a way that the other two couldn't. All 3 were very special players and we were lucky to have them all competing at the same time.

Here we go, gets called out for his nonsense and starts being a daftcunt
Oh dear. Only one person was being daft here, it was the person turning an article into a different one that has been done a thousand times since Scholes retired. Not the person commenting on the actual article offering praise from a Liverpool fan about four United players.
You're that defensive that you've turned this massive amount of praise into a negative, a WUM as you called it. Unbelievable. Wonder what would have happened if I had actually posted a negative comment? Have you mental issues?
The reason Liverpool fans get so upset over Scholes is because they know he should have played for them. What with him having asthma and all that. A missed opportunity.
