Blimey Tom I thought I had expressed a fairly mild opinion. I don't feel "so strongly", I just have a few misgivings. I always give the team absolute support.

Scouse, we can have our usual meet-up at the Boathouse which tends not to be affected by whether you are actually there in person or not.

I just get fed up with all the Moaning that goes on, just for a defeat or a draw, after all that's gone on before
UT, after seeing how much better we look in midfield with Bird pulling the strings on Tuesday, to then revert to the 'get it out to the wings ......" yesterday, was utterly baffling.
Cheltenham had a lot of height in their back line and we played straight into the only strength they posses.

But for an error by Fornah, it was a win.
Who knows what would have happened. It was 0-0 at the time. We might have won, drawn or lost.
What I'm trying to say is, the manager can't control mistakes on the pitch no matter what the score,
We had enough chances to win.

We created chances when Bird disregarded the memo.
We did. We should have won despite being short of our best. All the manager can do is to prepare the team as best he can to give them the best chance of winning. I guess we are debating whether he might have been able to give us an even better chance of winning by either a different selection or different tactics.
Who coached our defence that it is better to play the ball across your goal than put it out for a throw in?
My mate Collins had three chances. The first two were difficult and he did well to get himself in position. The late one where he had to take more than one touch on the ball was easier except for Collins, who cannot control a ball properly.
The question I always ask myself after 10 games is are we any good? Think the verdict is inconsistent. We really need a bit more quality to be consistent. Can't really see any improvement on last year. How long is Warne's contract?
I knew you would turn up, the proverbial bad bad penny!
Bad news is good news for you.
UT, I guess the frustration & disappointment come when, just as you think we might have turned a corner (ie Pboro, Bpool) we revert back to type and consequently produce a poor performance. 'We' rarely seem to progress from the better ones.

No, you usually give a balanced view on the match, but some do find a lot of pleasure in moaning about the results or lack of them.

It's all very well sitting in your chair watching the match at home Uncle, some of us have to watch Warne's style live. Some even go to most away games even. Why shouldn't we have a moan when we don't play well?
Talking about moaning... Borthwick is not a very good manager.
Mr Rooney is newly available. However Brum are said to want him which means that another former Rams legend may soon be available instead.......

Removeth the plank from your own before removing the splinter from your neighbour's.
Nor's Rooney who has left DC United after failure to get into the play offs.
Be ridiculous call to offer him the Birmingham job as suggested in several media outlets.
I think UT is referring to those that have nothing positive to say on the matter as opposed to constructive criticism. That's my take anyway.
It really comes as no surprise that we are football's boy scouts offering a helping hand to those who are struggling, whether it be a goal or result.
Our soft underbelly has been our achilles heel well before PW's arrival and so far no manager has found a solution to that problem.
Having possibly 'given it their all' on Tuesday would explain the lethargic performance yesterday as would PW's possible energy sapping training sessions. I can imagine they're a hard * grull considering his standards on fitness.
We're progressing in the right direction, if slower than required and still on a good run as we approach the cup game and the internationals to help injured players recover etc...
It's not going to happen but how would Barks look up front? He's played there for PNE and done reasonably well too.
( started typing this earlier today so may overlap on some posts since!)
I think UT needs to take off his rose coloured specs. He constantly has digs at folk who have a different view to his own. I disagree with a lot of what Spart says but he’s a Derby fan, as such he’s entitled to his view and I agree that there has been little if any improvement on last season.
It's all opinion is it not? In general I'm sure that's why we post on this site - to express opinions. In particular for me, it's because Mrs C, bless her, while she is happy to listen to my odd moan or otherwise, she is not that interested so I feel the need to "talk" with those who really are interested in all things DCFC.
So for me it's OK to have the odd moaner on here so long as the moaning is balanced and not born out of blind prejudice. I don't think anyone on here really evokes blind prejudice; just Spart occasionally goes over the top, but hey, it's all good fun.
Who really used to get me while I lived in Derby were the constant moaners whom I used to hear every home game, whether on the Pop side, in the paddock, Leigh or East stands where I used to stand/sit. Certain players always copped for it in my experience - Albert Mays, Gordon Brown, John McGovern, Derek Hales, (I could go on) even if they played well. I never booed any Derby manager, player or team no matter how bad - pointless and counter-productive. No-one sets out to manage or play badly (except Docherty!) All are human and liable to fluctuations in form etc.
So my mantra has always been that the team as a whole, individual players and management should always be supported during a game. Criticism can always be dished out later in private or on sites such as these provided it does not descend into constant carping about individuals. But I do think there is just one body that can justify public scorn and that is any ownership which recklessly drives a club into near or total extinction.
So, if anyone reads this, thanks for doing so and for putting up with a minor rant.
