Shows what a stupid decision it was to let Sanchez go, he would be an ok option in this system until we got a better CB
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not for me. That slip against United said otherwise. He was always capable of looking half decent then being an absolute horror show.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
One goal and 2 assists in 4 games for Sanchez. He is going to win a trophy like all the others.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Was stil shiiit though, and don't you forget it.
Turkish league is his level.

gross negligence by the club to not have one single adequate CB back up. unbelievable

Unbelievable that we don't have a flawless squad after so long with the new manager.

Now is the time to be playing promising youth players when they should be involved with the first team. Filling in one or two positions with the rest being the regulars will help their game.
Better to find out now a few months in how they can handle games rather than in the second season when objectives might be far more serious.

We chose not to sign an extra centre back in the summer so I presume Ange is happy with his options and I do not expect any excuses because Romero is out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What leads you to presume that?
It clearly cannot be true because we are now faced with having to put inferior player in Romeor's position.
I smell the usual Levy rat,
Rather Dier had left than Sanchez, but that co ck refused to leave
This is a process. Players out Players in. We now have a have good 13 or 14 players. We need maybe another 3 or 4 to be strong with depth and I'd hope that 1 or 2 this January is possible.
But let's not start with all the finger pointing, there are many reasons that contribute to getting new players In and that includes getting players out first.
With regard to Dier, whatever you think about him he has always been a committed and loyal player and whatever his reasons for not going, I think it's pathetic of any Spurs fan to start abusing him. He doesn't deserve that. The guy is a human being and will have his own reasons for staying and not moving on. Its not like someone like Ndombele who is clearly a mercenary not prepared to out the effort or commitment in

It's VERY early for Ange and whatever changes he might want to make with the playing squad? He's set the players he has up in such a way that, and let's not doubt it, has you playing far better football?
He was always going to me need a bit time to make the changes with both the system and squad, the players that have came in Maddison etc have been great and the improvements in the system and style have also been superb so another 12-18 months and you might imagine where you could be by then?
Of course it's a lottery at times but another too DC would negate this kinda worry but where you want to be will take some time, obvs imo only

Careful, some of our fans on here will be calling you a casual racist for that post.
I think it's perfectly reasonable as a fan to want Dier to move on. I don't hate him or anything but it's pretty clear he's not going to play and is only sticking around to benefit himself.
Dier has been dead to me for years. Let him rot.

I absolutely agree.
He is like so many of our squad up until recently, in that he's a bit of a relic from a more successful time. He and Lloris have served the club very well but have stayed too long and that is not necessarily their fault.
I am pleased that we do not have to rely on him much and hope he gets whatever move he wants for him and his new wife....I heard somewhere that he would like to move abroad, may be back to Portugal where it began for him, and that can only really happen if he gets a free deal out of Spurs. So fair play to him. He has his contract, he's an honest player. Go well Eric !

A very fair and decent outlook on Dier. Football fans often forget that players are human beings and see them purely as commodities or assets.
I find it very difficult to read the comments back on here, especially if they're more than a couple of lines.
Just checking in to see if anyone has laughed at my 'jealous?' joke yet?
Think is was on this thread.
