Tarkowski should've gone as well. He tripped Jota on the edge of the penalty area but wasn't booked. Jota would've been through on goal. Tarkowski was booked later on for a different challenge. He was very physical and in fact could've got a third one.

Funny how rival fans are acting like Konate was a definite yellow just to push the Liverpool favoured by refs agenda. It's a subjective one, could have been a yellow or not a yellow. Ref decided not to give it. Another ref could have given the Diaz penalty so it's subjective in this instance.

Konate shouldve went. It was very similar to a rodri 1 against us a few years back where he didnt get a 2nd yellow and we were all crowing for that 1. Cant have it both ways need to just hold our hands up and admit we got away with 1.
That being said some of the nonsense on the commentary yest was next level. Mccoist wanting young let off for the good of the game. It doesnt work like that. Then questioning the pen. The everton lad literally has his arm stuck out at full legnth before diaz even kicked the ball. Nobody to blame but himself.

I didn't hear McCoist commentary but I am in favour of refs not dishing it cards at every foul. Young's first card was overzealous to put it mildly!
Once the ref dished it out, he then refused to do the same and card LFC players - Tsimikas and Konate for example.
Without refs intervention, the game would have ended in both sides being squared. The refs swung the game to Liverpool's advantage.

when jota got booked for running nearly a guy who tripped himself up and vvd got sent off for making a tackle I think it's safe to say that Ashley Young made two very clear yellow tackles but we are all amazed he actually got even 1 yellow never mind 2.
