The question is whether it is the role of the BBC to define who are and aren’t terrorists. What they say in terms of Hamas, a designated terrorist organisation by the UK government is entirely reasonable. It’s important to remember that the BBC is headquartered in the UK but goes out around the world, including in countries where Hamas is not a designated terrorist organisation.

Hamas are terrorists. It’s not up for debate or interpretation at all. The BBC has chosen many times to use this description previously with other groups but isn’t doing now. That is choosing sides.

BBC are being shafted by the Israelis proper and good....It has gone from being this ultimate unbiased journalism to pandering to he Zionists, which is normal anyway for evry media outlet. No it's not. They are reporting that they are prescribed as terrorists by the government. Which is a fact.
Hamas also has a political wing, which has been elected in Gaza. The BBC directly calling them terrorists would be reporting an opinion that it isn't their role to give. By directly calling them that, they would be taking a side and influencing opinion.
