You could well be right but it really wouldn't surprise me if it was from within the club in an effort to deflect from their own shortcomings. Obviously I accept that could come from the players too of course.
The whole squad should be unhappy, what we're seeing regularly irrespective of who is selected is not really good enough. Yes the manager should do better but lack of effort, lack of accountability for what takes place on the pitch is unforgivable. The leaks are nothing new, happened for every manager who had their fate sealed by the cowards who represent the club.
Transfer list the lot of them. If the buck stops with the manager, the players are equally culpable.

Yeah I'm sure that will work. We tried to sell most of them at some point and nobody ever wants them. Martial went on loan. Maguire supposedly refused to go because he wanted a pay off, Mctominay bid wasn't deemed sufficient.
The manager will go. We can't afford to sell 25 players and buy 25 new ones either. We'd need about 2-3bn to do it. 😂

I don’t think it’s a deflection. It’s more a case of priming fanbases for sacking a manager by leaking or manufacturing dressing room issues.
Whatever it is, and I accept that Berba and you are probably closer to it than I am, it's all very shoddy and I've really had enough of all the BS.

I love your optimism mate, I really do. You do not switch form on and off. How many times have we seen a single player dissect our entire team with a strong run unopposed then Dalot fail to do what a FB should do?! The type of goals were concede are so similar, opposition teams rarely have to break into sweat to score. And do not forget the individual errors, the squad is full of them.
But saying all that I really hope we start picking up points for Eth's sake. He still has time but two home games and 6 conceded suggests Eth is slowing approaching the dangerous point of no return. We don't want to lose another manager but Utd can't risk toying with relegation either. Can you trust this group of cowards to pull us out of trouble though?!

----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not feasible but do you blame me for wanting the whole lot out?!
Wasn't there a similar scenario at LFC when Klopp arrived.
Daniel Sturridge. Klopp came out and said that being in some sort of pain does not mean you are injured, it just means you've hurt yourself. Sturridge, who was a fan favourite quickly fell out of favour.
There were other players he was ruthless with as well, decent ones.
I am with ETH on this, Varane is always injured, it's always something, perhaps ETH has told him he needs to man up, play through the pain barrier for your team and it's fans.
Players are so pampered these days. Whether he has fallen out with Varane or not, what difference does it make, he seldom plays for Man Utd these days anyway.
No wonder Madrid agreed to sell him. If he was any good he would still be at Madrid.
Shouldn't we be cautious about attributing the source and the meaning of this story when it's a piece of unverified gossip? Often you get stories of 'rifts' when there have been run of the mill frank exchanges, which happen all the more frequently when things aren't going well. It's easy to buy stories when they confirm what you already believe. ETH isn't going to turn it around; the players have given up on him --> Varane story sounds true.
Maybe ETH is challenging Varane to do things slightly differently in build-up because Shaw and Lisandro are missing, and that's caused a bit of friction because the highly decorated player at the end of his career is being asked to do things that he excels at?
Overall, we've seen this disjointedness and lack of confidence before under multiple managers. I don't think the players have actively "given up" on any of them. In every case - under Mourinho, Solskjaer, Rangnick, they tended to start games pretty purposefully and brightly (as we did against City) before losing momentum and belief at the first setback. To me that speaks of a failure of collective confidence (which is ultimately the manager's responsibility too) rather than a fundamental breakdown in motivation or in the relationship with the manager. We've seen that with certain new-manager bounces, that can be fixed. It's not unheard of for a serving manager to turn that around too, though of course they don't look in a good place right now.

Ultimately we don't really know what's gone on behind the scenes either. He's tried to do it his way but if you lose the players you're done for.
Who knows what the truth is but after years of seeing the same sh-t and players being upset and not trying with little to no consequence I don't care about them anymore. Let's back the manager and see him get out of this mess and before we give up on another manager. Bunch of charlatans at the club earning an obscene amount of money and seemingly not putting in the minimum effort fans expect, completely out of touch.

He was on the bench at the weekend and the manager said tactical.
He had no reason to say he's carrying a small niggle if that was the truth as he's done that lots of time with players already.
If you have Shaw, AWB n Martinez already out and then you say Varane was left out for tactical reasons then you deserve the ridicule. Especially since the performance was a tactical disaster class.
I think he's lost control totally now. We will lose our next two games and then the club will pull the trigger.

Transfer list the lot of them??? 😂

Or this could be a leak to discredit ETH and take the heat off the Glazers.
--------------
I'm not sure I follow this... A leak by who? And how would this take heat off the Glazers? And what evidence do we have that the Glazers actually care enough to start playing some obscure game of leak-espionage?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's a pattern now though isn't it?
Every time we see the results going bad we get these stories coming out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Surely the most straight forward explanation for leaks emerging (if credible and true) after defeats & players being dropped is that those players are genuinely unhappy and are therefore the source of the leaks?
The idea that the Glazer would 'deflect' (How? We aren't suddenly going to forget about them!) by planting stories about player discontent & briefing against their own manager that they signed in the media is farfetched and doesn't really serve any value. I just don't buy that any clubs operate like this.
Players leaking stories to a favourite contact in the media... Sure. We know that happens. Either the story is made up or it's directly/indirectly from the dressing room.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You could well be right but it really wouldn't surprise me if it was from within the club in an effort to deflect from their own shortcomings. Obviously I accept that could come from the players too of course.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t think it’s a deflection. It’s more a case of priming fanbases for sacking a manager by leaking or manufacturing dressing room issues.

Whatever it is, and I accept that Berba and you are probably closer to it than I am, it's all very shoddy and I've really had enough of all the BS.
We'll still bounce back and win on Saturday though...

Then good luck watching this shower of shiiit fail every successive manager. We've seen this too many times. Relegation is where we are heading.
Repeat, rinse, repeat. Unless Glazers disappear nothing will change.

Don't necessarily disagree. Your plan isn't remotely plausible though.

Not one bit. I wouldn't go as far as I want them all out but quite a few of them I do.
