Like I said Owen. Not perfect but you'd have been happy with Joe Jordan in 1977 eh!

I should just rule over it. I wouldn't accept nonsense from anyone. Not in football and certainly not in my businesses.

England still have a world cup in this scenario don't they? And Maradona's goal in 86 still counts?

Goal line tech is different!

Yes it does!

No, the solutions to just improve VAR and implement it correctly. VAR needs more power, not less IMO. There is a battle of supremacy between on pitch ref and VAR that is causing a lot of confusion. VAR have a lot of complex rules and retirements to comply with. Central ref is like an egg being handled with kid gloves.

The need to keep the central ref as the ultimate authority when the VAR ref is also an equally qualified ref who has multiple replays to look at is ridiculous.

They now have 3D offside in other leagues which takes seconds to sort out. The PL rejected that tech for some stoopid reason and now we are stuck still drawing lines. It's like using a stove to warm your food when you could have had a microwave.

The problem with VAR is implementation and ree tarded decision making from the PGMOL who have always been useless, but are now sheeting their pants even more over VAR changing the game, taking away control of games from them, taking away their divahood and central starring role in games, turning them into bridesmaids rather than the bride.

People need to not get bogged down by the stoopidity of the implementation of VAR. Don't let it change your mind. VAR is here to stay and should be enhanced, not reduced

VAR is a mess. The people creating the rules and the people managing it need to be gutted and replaced by competent human beings.

Decisions like Maguire being 1 mm offside the other day, when the ball was nowhere near him should just be ignored. If he was 1 mm back the outcome is the same and that is a fact.

Decisions like the goal against arsenal that was out of play. How did it get this wrong? These are obvious errors that should be fixed by VAR.

VAR is not being used what it was created for. The only fix is for these idiots to find other jobs

Disband the PGMOL and put to pasture anyone associated with it.

I will hazard a guess that there are many, many more goals that shouldn't have been allowed but were given, than those that were incorrectly ruled out. So your system is not solving the bigger issue but addressing the less prevelant issue.

Start afresh with people who believe in VAR and accept that VAR is here to stay.

This will ensure there is the right attitude and environment to improve VAR and make it work. PGMOL dinosaurs will never let VAR take it's place.

First off the Refs to be mic’d up like they do in Rugby and the Ref should take charge and tells the VAR guys what he wants to have checked!

Not like in Newcastles goal where the original check was for the ball in or out, then it appears VAR took it upon themselves and started with the two further checks.

Secondly all VAR cameras at all grounds should show the same angles to give more consistency in decisions!

The only tweak I would make is to get rid of it. More controversy and mistake now than there was before!

I've never got the issue over celebrating a goal under VAR.

You still celebrate when a goal goes in, then you have that moment of worry it's going to be cancelled, and if it's confirmed you get to celebrate again.

Should also add if they brought in the automated offside then I think a lot of time issues with VAR would disappear.

At the highest level, such as world cups, there could be a high degree of automation and lines persons' jobs would be obsolete. They are pretty close to being obsolete anyway. Most of the time they don't even put their flag up for obvious offsides anyway. They just rely on VAR sorting it out.

Like a lollipop lady at a signalised pedestrian crossing. I saw that the other day. When then green man went on for people to cross, the lollipop lady would go on to the road with her stick to stop traffic. It is already stopped Linda. The lights are doing you job. Why are you still here?

I just think it can spoil the moment if you're waiting although it's true you do get to celebrate twice I suppose!

Not the worst idea I’ve heard. Possibly still allow goals to be ruled out by VAR for handball.

just bin it off, it's bad.

It’s not being used for what it was created for. It was meant to be for clear and obvious errors. It’s now been used for every single decision.
