Could been seen as advantage....win and pressure mounts a but on the other teams games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Win and they are top regardless - but no, it’s such a disadvantage to play 2.5 hours earlier.
Spurs meanwhile have another Friday game before Xmas away to incredibly difficult to beat at home, especially under the lights Forest - after playing Newcastle on the late Sunday game - weirdly though, zero mention from Ange, he just seems to be getting on with it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What's wrong with a Friday night game? Plus Spurs aren't in any other competitions until January
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s rubbish, weekend hasn’t really begun and your straight out of work and that’s your game, it’s like playing on a Monday - you wait all week to watch your team at the weekend only to have to wait until the following week.
I don’t like it as a spectator if it’s an away game (as I go to the homes) - love the Sunday slots for TV and the Saturdays are fine - Friday and Monday don’t do it for me
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe it's annoying for the fans but absolutely nothing wrong with it for the players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed, also nowt wrong with kicking off 2.5 hours earlier - it makes no difference

We've had 14 of them after international breaks during his time here. The next most is your sorry lot with six. It makes a difference especially for South Americans who hardly have any recovery time after a long flight back.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s 2.5 hours, it makes faaack all difference and is just a statistic that Klopp has picked up on and is trying to use as some sort of disadvantage being bestowed onto LFC.
It’s bollox though, it’s the TV companies that decide and of course Liverpool are going to be a draw - he needs to move on, not constantly moan about 2.5 hours
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sometimes maybe it would be 2.5 hours, but games like City away and Everton at home, to take this season's examples, would probably have had the 4:30 slot on Sunday if it wasn't the early kickoff. Of course it's a disadvantage
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s not a disadvantage, it’s the same disadvantage City have or whoever else you are playing. Pep isn’t moaning, so why can’t Norbert shut it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
peps not played it 14 times has he? hes played it 5 times. and usually its rarely the same disadvantage the other team might not have played midweek or might not have south american players doing long flights back? use ur noggin lad.

Nah.
his records actually not that bad, only pep and arteta (just) have a better record in the 12.30 slot.
seeing as we won 3 this year in the slot maybe only pep has a better wiin % in 12.30s now.
Klopp needs to go back to Germany. He is an irritant.
Klopp may have a point this time.
Pep has no internationals in his squad so they will be well rested for the game, and Liverpool also have to travel all the way to Manchester for this tie. It's stacked up against them!

So why is he faaacking complaining - you win those games anyway so how much is it really affecting his players to kick off 2.5 hours earlier than the rest of the league - he just needs to shut up, honestly the way he is going he will be turning up to matches with a tin hat on soon.
Liverpool could of course forfeit some of the TV money in exchange for not being scheduled at 1230 on a Saturday ever again - they won’t though, they will just keep moaning about how unfair it is
well it is unfair theres 20 teams and Liverpool are playing the 12.30 like 70 % of the time?
often if they cant fit liverpool in it they dont even have a 12.30 thats how important it is to them.

theres numerous reasons behind it of which im sure has been said by Klopp and other managers, and as fans we should want the best quality product we can get. jet lagged game is not that is it?
The only reason you'd have a problem with a manager or team pointing that out is if you are bitter towards them.
2.5 hours does make a difference. Players already coming back from different timezones. Having the right food before game makes a difference which is much easier to deal with at lunch than breakfast.
We've had as many since 2021/22 as the next most affected team (Spurs) have had since 2015.

disruption, injuries, fatigue all sorts i imagine. Sports science is huge now and these things are analysed by teams. Wouldnt be noise if it wasnt important. It clearly is an issue and i dont see why he should just shut up and take it either. Especially when its something that benefits football fans too if we want the best product on display possible for example, if we want to see the best players at their best and less injuries.

So no example
Plus out of the 14, there are only four that would have been candidates for 3pm games. Meaning at least 10 could have potentially been played late on Saturday or, more likely, Sunday.
Everything that Jürgen Klopp says and does must be viewed in the context of his life's overriding purpose: getting one over on his nemesis, Pidier Pogba
