it's probably always gone on. Spurs done it many years ago.
George graham took money whilst at arsenal.

There was a thing of tapping up back in the day as well which people just seem to ignore now too.

You see a retired footballers interview or documentary and they always say how "x" manager like fergie for example reached out to them whilst they was playing elsewhere.

I remember seeing Fergie in the white hart lane car park, for a midweek game against Fulham. There was a rumour he was there to see a player. A few months later they signed Chris Smalling.

Immediate relegation would be fair.

Apparently the case revolves around ex Spurs player Mitchell Thomas advising Defoe as an unlicenced agent because Defoe was with Sky Andrew who Levy did not want to deal with because of Judas.

Daniel Levy enlisted licensed agent Stuart Peters for Tottenham but lacked a formal representation contract, a requirement under FA rules. Levy then paid Peters £1m for the deal.

Andrews even dug up phone records between Thomas and Defoe.

Spurs will have to hand back the 2008 league cup the last won as a result

I could allege that Liverpool used PEDs in their title winning season, but nothing would happen without evidence.

Apparently the FA were sent evidence but failed to investigate. Be interesting to see if they still have the files from the arbitration case of Sky Andrews v Defoe, which highlighted the whole issue of unlicenced agents, in the first place.

So 15 years ago a bit of alleged dodgy transfer business took place which was probably the norm even before agents became involved (and possibly still is). It has been noted, now let it go. It would be wrong to impose any sanctions on the current team because of that.
Sports agents can circumnavigate better than Sir Francis Chichester!

Dead right.

I'm expecting a steady drip of similar storys over the next few months concerning all clubs.

It's increasingly looking like everyone else bar Manchester United has had to cheat to get above them.

Soon all PL titles will rightfully be handed back to United as everyone else simply cheated their way to glory

Oh great...we'll have to fackin delve even deeper now...I kinda got settled on 2008 as a benchmark for Spursy-ness my other team won a better trophy that year
