The far-right popping up in a lot of places now.

Problems ahead.

Needs another 40 odd seats in a coalition to actually have any control in the government so only worrying if that happens.

The Dutch don't think that Islam is compatible with their way of life, good luck to them. The sooner we have mainstream political parties calling out stone age religions rather than pandering to them we can move in to the 21st century.

History shows that whenever there is mass poverty and hardship, a divisive character tends to win an election. It’s all about uniting a population in finger pointing. “It’s THEIR fault you haven’t got enough money to pay your bills, vote for me and I’ll get rid of them”

Extreme versions of this saw hitler get to power.

Even the tories bring out the small boats when they want you to look away from their disastrous governance.

It saddens me that as humans, we still seem to fall for it every time.

Agreed, was talking to my friend who runs the village shop and post office saying this is like the 1930s when fascism was growing in this country and others (our King was ordering uniforms from Mussolini ) and how most did not take it seriously until it was too late. He said he was already looking at his customers to see which are the ones who would turn him in as a dangerous socialist - but I said he was safe from that slur as long as he remained a member of the Labour Party

Built on the myth that Islam is effecting their every day life when, of course, it isn't.

They're just racist nut jobs.

Unfortunately the Labour Party is not what it once was. They’ve had their issues with anti sensitise and now have a leader that bans mps from picket lines and votes against cease fires. They’ve taken a small step to the right.

There is no safe party for a socialist anymore.

Nice to see the national team captain get 3rd place in number of seats!

Seriously, irrespective the right wing guy, refreshing to see PR working and so many parties represented significantly forcing government by consensus. We can but dream.

He wont be able to form a government as no one want to work with the PVV. Last time he won they also ended up in opposition.
