Effort

I said before the game and I will continue to say, we are guaranteed to lose to any decent team away from home. They'll be up for it, our players won't be. It's continuous

You’ve got to start somewhere, strip Bruno of the captaincy.

Drop Rashford until such a time that he can point to his head again.

Give another Keeper a run of games

Sell Sancho

The real effort is watching you. Staying awake for that match was tough. You really are an awful team to watch when Maguire/Onana aren’t dropping banterclasses

I don’t know the answer, ETH appears to have tried a few approaches, Jose had his way and Ole his.

So we go for a Conte and give them a kicking, which may work for 6 months? Do we look for another next big thing like ETH?

I’m not sold on ETH, but I’m also not totally done with him. His summer business troubles me as I don’t home eve actually fixed any of our issues.

The dressing room culture hasn't been right for years and it's going to take a while to change it.

I initially wanted a Conte and I think he would get the players going for a while as he’s immensely respected in the game but probably wouldn’t work out long term.

The issue with Ten Hag is that he’s tried to come in as a sort of Conte-lite and wants to crack skulls but doesn’t seem to have the respect of the squad bar the ever-professionals like Maguire and McT.

IMO the solution is someone the players can all get behind who’s a kind of matey like manager but also one who is tactically sound. A better Ole if you will. Maybe Carrick at some point. A left field idea is Xabi Alonso at Leverkusen but the Liverpool connection might make it a no go.

Isn’t Alonso going Madrid in the summer?

Yeah, please get Carrick.

Super Chelsea up next !
I really think that absolutely anything could happen/occur in this game, definately not a game to miss ,if only for what might well be a very entertaining get together !

That’s where my money would be. No way he goes to United. Forget the Liverpool connection, at his stage of his managerial career it would be a suicidal move.

Not a chance utd would be interested in Alonso anyway

Yep, you can see the reaction of Newcastle players to their fans yesterday.

Granted Old Trafford isn’t always the best, but you need something from the players to get you off your seat too.

Other than Dalot post pumping everybody because he tackled somebody for the first time in 4 attempts.

Since he signed has there been a utd manager that hasn't an issue with Martials effort and attitude and Rashford was ever bit as bad as him last night

Time is up for Martial and Sancho get them te fack out the door and Rashford too if he doesn't cop himself on

posted on 3/12/23

Rashford and Martial were a disgrace last night.

I would want them out of my club.

Newcastle fans were giving their team sh!t recently because of the Bournemouth loss.

Doesn't look like they gave up yesterday.

Our club is literally just full of mentally weak players.

Maguire was a laughing stock until a couple of months ago, last night he was your most committed player.

ETH could turn it round but you need to get rid of the deadwood or at least just keep them on the bench until replacements he wants are brought in.

Very good.

My point is some players seem to be beyond managerial motivation as it stands, whilst others respond.

It's easier to get rid of the bad eggs than sack the manager and start again.

Hilarious isn't it.

I'm maggys biggest critic, but fair play to him, he seemed like the only player that gave a sh!t yesterday.
If the entire team cared as much as maggy did yesterday then im sure we'd feel a load better even if we lost.

I thought you were being subtle, as the bench yesterday was largely made up of Erik's men (whom might now be considered "deadwood" in some cases) while traditional "deadwood" like Maguire play and do better than most.

Thus is exactly why I was disappointed to see Fred leave.
While he has his limitations, his workrate and enthusiasm put players like Rashford to shame.

We actually miss Fred's energy in the midfield.
